No really, they are trash. I will be replacing mine soon as well because I don't want to risk another winter with it

 

I don't even have my 4Xe yet and know I will be replacing the battery the day I pick it up.

 

You need a new 12v battery, get an Odyssey performance H7/94R and never worry about battery problems again

Does anyone happen to know if the 4xe takes the same battery as a 17JK? I just got a new AGM battery for my JK but will be trading it in for my 4xe and know I won't get any extra value for it.

 

Well what size did you put in your Jk. If you have the tow package you will need a h7 or 94r if you don't have the tow package you can still fit a H7/94r just pop the tabs out in the battery box

 

Ahh damn, the JK has an H6. Though both the JK and future JL have the tow packages. Well saves me the hassle of doing battery roulette with a donor.

 

Just got a bunch of lights and error messages while driving at a leisurely 30mph - car hasn’t even been offroad yet!

Chances it’s the stupid battery and I should just getthe Odyssey mentioned above? Should I even bother checking the current battery charge/output?

PS: decided to buy the battery anyway and will replace just as a precautionary measure

 

It is wise to replace it, leave it unplugged for about 5min to reset and expect the radio to be back to normal a few hours later

 

Yes radio will return back to normal. Also might want to check the fuses and make sure they are all secure

 

Do you have to pull any fuses prior to swapping the battery?

I hate to admit this, but this feels like an issue just like my old Prius prime every time I charge the battery at a charging station the 12 V battery seems to get low

 

The 12v battery is charged any time the level 1 or 2 charger is plugged in.
