Ya....just noticed...it's the European version....damn it! Lol!
Yeah we saw a similar article, but for Europe only.Ya....just noticed...it's the European version....damn it! Lol!
Im sure it's stronger than the crappy windshield that comes with the jeeps.I wouldn't stress about it. The primary benefit from the GG seems to be turning out to be the gorilla head sticker on the glass.

I changed mine on the jk 3 times already.
It would be nice if we could get something as a bonus.
Where did you get the Exoshield installedI adddd a product called Exoshield to my windshield (standard glass) to help protect it, I think this stuff is similar to clear bra… it’s worked pretty good so far for 25k km’s.
It won’t maintain a crystal clear vision but it will stop your windshield from cracking. For small rocks it does a pretty good job, larger rocks will leave a mark but no crack.
Up here they gravel the roads like crazy in winter so a cracked windshield is pretty common. A friend of mine got a JT a few months after I got my 4xe and he has replaced his windshield twice already.
I started counting the little indents in the Exoshield film one day that I thought would have resulted in cracked windshields and I stopped counting at 20.
I took a gamble with my windshield protection film as I thought it sounded a little hopeful but in hindsight I’m glad I did - enough where I’d recommend it to others.
I wish jeep would offer this as standard or at least make it an option from factory.
The vertical windshield definitely makes a difference, when I lived in Australia I had a 1992 Toyota landcruiser, it also had a more vertical windshield and also seemed more prone to getting chips and cracks.
I got it installed at the following shop near where I work in Calgary:Where did you get the Exoshield installed

When you say it "won't maintain a crystal clear vision", is that from installation or some degradation over time? Also, how does it hold up to constant rubbing/abrasion? ie from Windshield wipers. I'm on the Wet Coast and that liquid sunshine has the wipers on frequent use.I adddd a product called Exoshield to my windshield (standard glass) to help protect it, I think this stuff is similar to clear bra… it’s worked pretty good so far for 25k km’s.

Not sure but it’s a waste. Mine is already cracked along bottom with NO stone chip. I think they’re flawed and won’t replace it with GG.I just saw that 2022 wrangler 4xe comes standard with gorilla glass windshield on this site.....
.
Can anyone confirm that it's true.
Thank you
