Third transmission is in and we finally picked ours up yesterday. Drove for 120 miles home. So far I could not see any leaks. Ours was in for 55 days and 2 new transmissions total. We still love the Jeep! Hang in there and hopefully they will resolve yours soon. Hoping it will be smooth sailing moving forward.
Glad you have it resolved, and have had the patience on waiting. We are trying to give our dealer the benefit of the doubt. Still drips all over our garage so my suspicions are correct that the problem isn't corrected despite what the advisor says. I told my better half just keep running it. We will play their game. Wait until its first oil change and say oh by the way, its been months and still dripping. We also just might take it to another dealer and have them give us an assessment. We don't want to play lemon law games, but if that's what it takes since the next visit will be round 4 over the issue with about 3 weeks total in down time. My fiancé really likes her GC. So I don't think we are ready to give up just yet.

Honestly it’s probably best to go to another dealer in your case. Just letting it drip and sit could potentially be interpreted as negligent and close the lemon law route for you! Have you tried having an indie shop diagnose, then go with that to the dealer to have them fix it?
The problem with mine isn’t just anymore that it’s dripping, I also got the lobster of doom red wrench in the dash. About 10 days and 1 visit away from consumer protection which I will absolutely push for.

How frustrating! The dealer hasn't made progress on any of it?

Yes it could be interpreted that way if they push for it. It really just leaves maybe a drop a day or every other. The a-hole in me would wish it would burn up to be a sarcastic a hole to the cocky service advisor. The reality is we will probably make an appointment with another dealer in the near future. The advisor told me that i will drip for a while due to the cross member being "hollow" and a lot of fluid drained into when emptying the transmission when the made the repair. So after having a less than productive conversation a week later asking them how long should I let this go on before we can both agree the problem isn't actually fixed she didn't give me an answer aside from 3-4 weeks... If it leaks more while driving with a 90 mile daily commute, I would think a service light would come on before it completely goes dry. We will see.

No progress here despite the transmission leak being the easy fix: I’ve had an indie shop clearly diagnose it’s a leaking trans pan gasket at one of the bolts. Really simple fix. But the lobster of doom got in the way and that’s been keeping the Jeep in the shop for 20 days now already. I already told the dealer it’s staying with them until they fixed it or until I’m taking Jeep to court @JeepCares

Hopefully they will do something about it, so you can move on and then get pan gasket taken care of.

Have another dealer look at it. Did they check the 12v battery voltage for the lobster of doom? From my experience as long as the dealer is quick in submitting a star case to the jeep engineers, the decision and parts getting sent out is fairly quick. I have read nightmares about people who are waiting on transmissions for months but this was not my case. Star responded in 24 hours and the transmission sent in 24 hours as well. It took 2 weeks each for the transmissions to make its way to California though. Then the tech was able to remove, replace and test for 3 days. I would not recommend 100% my dealership because I think it was the tech's fault when he cracked the second transmission and scratched my amp steps and sub frame when he installed the third. I had my buddy who was a tech next door to do a final quality check and of course he found a couple of issues albeit minor.

That's always my fear when dealers service techs takes things apart, in this case something so complicated.. the lack of attention to detail and the hasty job they do.. nothing ever gets put back together they way it was taken out. Missing hardware, dangling wire looms, etc..

If what he means by the B motor is the big electric motor then that is part of the zf phev transmission. Hopefully it gets resolved when the transmission is changed. Star engineers were quick to approve on mine and it was sent out in a couple of days. Where it took longest was shipping to the west coast. Did you talk to the case manager at jeep?

When you say case manager at Jeep, you mean the folks at @JeepCares who for the love of me despite promises won’t reach out to me or respond to me? And when they do it’s all just standard answers? And when you call you never reach anyone despite 5 messages left on the answering machine? Jeep so far has been the most frustrating vehicle experience compared to my Ford Raptor where the engine went out early on and my BMW where the timing chain was stretched after less than a year. It’s also been the worst customer service for me. I guess I just got bad luck with them.

I wish I had better straight line there. Also, 2-3 months of payments without vehicle use - what about that?! Anybody got that handled?

I think I called jeep wave number because the dealer suggested we attack it at 2 fronts. They submit my star case and I open up my own case as well. I was immediately assigned a case manager and that case manager did call the dealership within an hour and linked up my case number. My first case manager was great as he would call me for updates every few days. My second one I had to call and leave a message for updates but he would always call me back. We were in communication until the time came last week to close my case. I know it can be frustrating. I even almost ordered a tesla model y out of frustration from all this but jeep managed to get things rolling. They offered if i wanted them to pay for my monthly payments but since our jeep was only out for less than 2 months and I placed more than half down, my payments werent much so I asked for a hookup on an extended warranty instead.

Hopefully this is the final update. We took our GC to a different dealership this time around. It was nice to meet an advisor who owns a 4xe and to top it off, when we talked about our issues, he got on his hands and knees to look himself. He laughed and said yeah, "you guys have a problem. If this was residual as the last dealer claimed it wouldn't be fresh. It would be covered in road grime." Needless to say, when they got it up on the lift and disassembled everything he took a picture of the transmission line fitting with oil weaping out of it.

We got it back today, and he mentioned that they couldn't see anything else outside of the fitting causing a fluid loss. No crack in the case, but told us to keep an eye out. He said since they didn't make the repair last time they couldn't pin point why that replacement connection fitting leaked if they did actually change it. He also said they didn't find it loose, as well as the o-ring not broken or pinched on the fitting itself. Contrary to the last dealership who had it 3 times and claimed it was residual, the leak was substantial because our advisor on this trip told us we were over a quart low on transmission fluid when they drained it. So basically a little more than a quart loss in 3 weeks of driving or about 1500 miles.

Good to hear you’re on track to get your vehicle road safe.
Here is the text I got from my dealer yesterday:

“The technician has completed the transmission replacement. Now he tells me there is another electric motor that needs to be replaced. I will find out which one tomorrow when he returns. I am leaving the shop now.”

Thanks! But I'll keep tracking it and check the garage floor and what I can see underneath. On that note, glad you got a new trans out of it, but now they're chasing more. At this rate, you'll have a new power train by the time this is said done. Atleast they're actively trying to relsove your issues. For these reasons is why im so hesitant of this technology. It just adds so much more complexity with even more failure points. Sorry you're going through this. I told Anna that if we end up lemoning this out.. are you gonna skip the 4xe this time??

Hopefully you both will have it resolved completely soon. My neighbor has been making fun of me because I go under the jeep every few days or so to wipe things off or clean the underbody to check for leaks. There was some oily runoff the first few days but it's been exactly a month and 1,000 miles since we picked her up from the shop and no more signs of oil.

Presumably it's the p2 motor, as that's the one in the transmission. Seems unlikely that the p1 motor hanging off the front of the engine would coincidentally go bad.
Text today from the dealer:
“ The motor is called the generator/alternator. P1. The ETA is Friday 3/17/2023. Once that motor is installed. He will power up the vehicle and road-test.”
