Hi 4Xe Forums. I kept coming across this page, and it is an awesome resource of information.

I decided to register and join so that I can share my experience as these 4Xe’s are still new.

Last few days I’ve been seeing that little red wrench, come on for a few minutes and then go away. Thanks for the group and the Internet I checked the fuses and relays make sure they were all snug a few days ago. But this morning I could not leave the house because of the error message on the cluster - unable to shift out of park, I’m just glad I was home to deal with this. Overall I’m happy with my 4Xe and this issue is what it is. Just got it towed to the dealership at 5pm so the fix is “to be continued.

I picked up my 4Xe on 8/15/21 down in Orange County.

The current situation was they were selling before hitting the lot. The primary way to get a 4Xe was strongly suggested to order online which was estimate 10+ weeks and I needed a vehicle to start new job by 9/1.

I visited a dozen dealerships in So Cal,and was working the phones checking with the dealerships for weeks. At that time I had every dealership calling me with updates, availability, and what would be landing soon. When this one landed in Orange County I knew that wanted it and when I arrived there were 2 other family’s peeking in the window, for the 4Xe that was on hold for me.

It’s at the dealership today and hopefully not too much longer (1 week+ like other people) , I’m still happy with my decision.

This happened to me. Had to get a new power train. And then some cable had gotten disconnected so voltage was getting sent to the rest of the Jeep. Once they figured that out mine has been working. It was about 2 weeks in the shop. But some of those nothing was getting done because of short staffed. Hope you get yours back soon.

the dealership had my 4Xe starting yesterday, throughout the day I got notifications on my phone / Uconnect - Charging Fault, today day 2 they let me know they worked through 6 recalls, and should have the lost one (shorter gas cap cord) done tomorrow. The tech has my Jeep in the bay, and hoping to have the issue resolved by tomorrow. I don’t know if I believe those words of hope. To be continued.

I had the service light come on one time in my garage....it wouldn't start, tried it again after scratching my head, looking under the hood and it started, no lights ran fine for the last 1,000 miles.
Watching this thread, good luck on a quick repair!

Just stopped by the dealership, all recalls done, tech is trying to figure out the charging issue. @JeepCares any help to tell the tech what to do would be great. Not sure if you have a way to share what issue/fix is?

Hi. Sadly we are not trained technicians here so we cannot provide information to give to the dealer to tell them what to do. As mentioned though, if you need extra support while there, we can provide that. Just send us a private message.

Here I am 9 or 10 days later on weds. Still driving a rental because my 4Xe is still at the dealership :( I imagined I would have it back in 2 days tops.. I call every day multiple times looking for update, reminding them this is common issue a d to seek solution from other locations or internal Jeep sources. Was told last week special tool delivered by Monday. I will keep you updated. And will share picture of my service report/ticket/ solution- I’m sure I’m not the last, so others can show their dealership what fixed it.

End of day 15 - my Jeep is sitting collecting dust at the dealership. Technicians do not know what to do, I am now waiting for a engineer specialist to come into town to repair.

I also called into Jeep Customer service and have an additional case#

and to make my situation better my service advisor quit today, just coincidence.

@JeepCares please say something. What are my options, what power or help are you in this forum? This is your chance to show me/us what you can do.
