Adjust charging speed for level 2 chargers

can i ask a semi related question here, rather than start a new thread??
left my 4xe plugged into my Emporia EVSE level 2 overnight as i wanted to remote start it next morning in 20 deg weather to 'pre-condition' the HV battery while warming up the cabin, etc. it was on remotely for maybe 5 minutes and when i got into the Jeep the battery charge was at 98% and my charge indicator lights were on(5th light blinking) I thought the level 2 or level 1 chargers provided a trickle charge while plugged in and battery reached full charge? i also thought the heating elements (seath, wheel heater, and fan) would draw from the hardwired EVSE and not the HV battery while plugged in? Thoughts?
The electric coolant heater than handles cabin heating will max out what a level 2 evse can provide in ideal conditions. If the battery coolant heater came on, coolant pumps, etc, the draw would exceed what a level 2 evse can support, so some battery drawing is to be expected.
