Read some complaints about Jeep’s recent $1800 price raise. To bring some kind perspective I just wanted to let everyone know that the Swedish starting prices just got announced and a Sahara 4XE starts at U.S $80k. Not only do I have to pay about $30k more than you lucky guys I can also tell you that the Swedish govt just removed the federal tax credit for plug-in hybrids. Cheers! :sneaky:🍻

well .. the Volvo xc90 Recharge starts at $ 92.000 in the EU and in the US $ 63.000 + tax and fees minus tax credit.
sounds like the income is higher in the european union..(but is not ;))
Cheers:coffee:

The EU countries mostly have a 20% value added tax that's included in that price.
I just paid $1400 for my 14 months of registration fees, which is mostly ownership tax. Year 2 will probably be $900, and year 3 $700, winding down to no ownership tax after 10 years. Guessing that equates to about 10% over the 10 years. Does the EU have ongoing taxes for vehicles?

There is an additional tax per gallon of gas, but I think the US is much lower at $0.20-0.60/gallon by state.
