I labeled them 1-3.
The left one - #1 -
drained dry when I lost my water pump o-ring (Square ring?) last week. I assume it is the overflow reservoir for the engine radiator. It is pressurized unlike the overflows I am used to. I also don't see where the "overflow" goes if the resivoira actually overflows so I am not shure if it functions in the way they used to. The other coolant tanks 2 and 3? I have no idea. Coolant for the battery? Charging system? Turbo? Clueless. The manual is thick of pages, but if there was a description in there, I couldn't find it.
Thanks in advance.
Question 2 there is a vacuum line that runs across the front of the engine and dissapears on the right side near the fan. It was misrouted and I went to check where it went. It terminates in a 90 degree elbow and then nothing... When the engine is running it pulls a slight vacuum. I just want to confirm that other JGC 4XE have the same un-attached hose. The inset photo is what the end of the hose looks like if you pull it from under the plastic trim.
Thanks in advance for help about the tanks and confirmation that the end of the hose terminates into... nothing...
