So here’s the latest warning. Now I can’t drive in electric mode if I have the temperature controls on??!!
Took it to the stealer who diagnosed a problem with a solenoid on the battery cooling system. Had to order the replacement part. I hear it can take weeks to obtain it. Anyone else having this issue? Check engine light is on too.

This has been talked about a lot.
I'll bet it's the ECH locked out. May be semantics but it seems that some owners have had a problem with the dealer ordering and replacing the wrong part because of the terminology.
Someone recently posted the part # for the newest version of the ECH. You may want to confirm the part # with the dealer so you can get a resolution in the first try.

Same for me. The replacement part is back ordered, expected end of March. It seems a lot of people are having this fail. It needs to be a recall.

Either Jeep is doing a better job making sure techs know about the issue, for you guys all have great dealers.

My dealer didn't believe me that my ECH needed replacing (even after I showed them through an OBD scanner that it needed to be replaced), so they lied to me and told me they replaced it when they didn't and the car was working fine. Sure, it was working fine at 60 degrees in their shop, but as soon as the car went outside in the cold, it didn't. Plus they ran the updates so they actually triggered the check engine light.

Had to get a new dealer.

Its possible they replaced the bch instead of the ech. You wouldn't be the first person that happened to.
Nah, they just straight up lied. I posted about this elsewhere here. I gave the sales manager and the service manager each a $50 bottle of holiday cheer in exchange for them ordering the ECH ahead of time, which they agreed to do. I gave them the Jscan screenshots showing the ECH was "locked permanent," the Jeep Star case showing what to do, and the part number of the replacement ECH. When I went to pick up the car, it was obvious right away that they hadn't replaced it, AND because they had updated the software, I had now had a shiny new CEL. As the service manager was trying to calm me down, one of the younger guys behind the computer was saying, "we never even ordered that part." Good times.

I can relate totally. A challenge to restrain oneself at the Dealer Drive-thru Service Bay. How can a Service Advisor look you straight in the eyes while blood is boiling? They are technically inept but surely they could read body language!

I know ECH P/N: #68443445AC by heart having to wait forever for it to arrive. Never intending to go this deep into research on this but, I'm certain the ECH is a common denominator as root cause for 4XE Modes of operation. That is ICE only, no Electric Mode & no Hybrid Mode (ESS).

FCA seems to respond to safety issues only. However, they should come clean and deal with this including all things ECH.

I was told I could still drive my Jeep in gas mode with the cel on while I wait for the part to come in. Is this correct?
Yes. That was my situation since ZB7 was performed NY 2023. It will just be in ICE mode(Internal Combustion Engine) like a conventional Jeep. Remote Start will be non functional. Cruise Control as well I was told. But I did have that. Waiting 10 weeks for the ECH part to arrive I can tolerate. It's just that the focus was to clear CEL indication only. Still wouldn't acknowledge "Fuel Oil Refresh Mode" which I tolerated long enough.

Even when the ech is non-functional, the 4xe still functions as a hybrid. It just limits electric only usage (it basically forces it to function as a mild hybrid).
True, it did use battery a bit. But ESS was non existent thru all this. Even as a mild Hybrid, not impressive MPG at the least..
Winter L/100 KM (reset every fill-up) 100% ICE Mode:

The non functional ech will just prevent electric only use. It will function fine with the engine running, including normal hybrid functionality.
True again. but wanted that 5 hour service PDQ to restore full function!
