F.O.R.M failure

Well it happened again, this time there’s no going back. Oil gained about an inch on the dip stick, fuel in the oil. Bringing it to the dealer in the am.
So here’s how it went and what I noticed.
1. Form is only supposed to activate every 90 days. It’s a program, there are no sensors for the oil and gas has been refreshed to the tune of 6 god damn tanks of fuel in a month!!!! I only have 2700kms on the thing?!?!?
2. Form kicks in every time it gets below -10 Celsius, this weekend hit -25 Celsius .
On Friday when it was +5, I decided to satisfy the form requirements just in case me resetting the oil monitor could cause a potential issue. To get the oil up to 206 degrees Fahrenheit I had to drive up and down the trans Canada highway at 100km/hr and in 4 gear. Every time I tried to down shift into 5 it dropped down to 204 degrees Fahrenheit. 30 mins on the highway. Fuel added $40 of regular.
3. Sunday morning storm and -25 Celsius. Plugged in all night. Remote start, gas engine fires up.
Refuses to go into electric mode. This time, no reason. Got home, shut down. Says plug in for battery conditioning?!?. Oh ok, only used 3% of the battery. Plugged in. Went out later in day. Same thing, no electric mode and no reason.
4. Monday morning -17 Celsius. remote start, gas engine fires up. No electric mode and no reason.
Im fed up, but notice this happens every time it gets cold….it’s friggen Canada!!!! This thing better be built for our climate!!! For gods sakes people here own Tesla’s!!!!!
5. When I get to work bring it right into my work bay. It’s 20 degrees in the shop. I keep it in all day.
At 5pm, check the oil and to my surprise it’s over by about an inch!?!?!? Called the dealer and they tell me not to start it. I said, I’ll check if I can get it into electric mode to get home. It works!!!! As long as the Jeep is driven in Florida or California we are all good!!!!!!
6. Monday 5:30pm. -17 Celsius. Only made it 3 blocks and the gas engine kicked in…..and this time it’s not happy!!!! Shutter and thunk!!!! Let’s me know it’s back in FORM mode and the electric is temporarily unavailable!!!!!
Jeep if you read this…You have a [email protected]#$&*% problem with your FORM mode!!!!

Where did you see this?

Says plug in for battery conditioning?!?.
Yes, it tells you to do that anytime you park and it's cold enough out.

No electric mode and no reason
No reason? It does that, by design, when it's sufficiently cold.

Then what’s the point of having a hybrid if I’m spending more gas then I ever did with my 2018 rubicon? Read the other threads to see where it was mentioned that there is no oil sensor and that this is a program that triggers every 90 days.
that this is a program that triggers every 90 days.
I've seen plenty of people speculate, but I haven't seen any documentation that specifies it just triggers every 90 days for oil.

Yes, there isn't a sensor in the oil measure fuel concentration. That doesn't mean it is just on a dumb timer for the oil.

I just satisfied the FORM requirements friday!!!! If I have to satisfy the requirements every time it gets cold in Canada, Jeep should be kept south of the borders!!!!! Lol

When the weather changes, the vehicle is going to behave differently to accommodate. You will find that in your climate, you won't be able to use electric only as often as in the summer.

Dealer confirmed that it is a 90 day trigger.

I can’t use it at all, guess you missed that the oil is now full of gas!!! Or is that normal in your book??? Lol
For fuel or for oil?
Oil, fuel need 4 gallons and they believe that it is triggered at the same time. I just laughed as I can’t go a week without putting gas in it!!!
Sorry, you lost me at FORM? What does that even mean?
Not sure what the fuel needing 4 gallons has to do with a 90 day trigger, unless you're saying it wants to see 4 gallons of gas added every 90 days.

Fuel and oil regeneration mode
Fuel and oil regeneration mode
Oh ok, how are we supposed to know that?

In the manual it says to satisfy the fuel part of form, you need to put in at least 4 gallons of gas.

In the hybrid manual for your 4xe
What does that even mean?
Fuel and oil refresh mode.

The 4xe will trigger a mode where it will run the motor, even if you want to be in electric to burn off old gas/drive off any gas that's got into the oil.

Depending on if its triggered for gas or for oil, it's usually resolved by adding new gas (4 gallons seems to be the threshold) or driving for a certain period of time with the oil over a certain temp (20 minutes continuously over 210F seems to be what does it, although it isn't clear what the actual threshold is).
In the manual it says to satisfy the fuel part of form, you need to put in at least 4 gallons of gas.
Yes, I understand that. But what period of time is it looking for that you keep the system satisfied? It's only going into FORM for fuel because it hasn't got a certain amount of fresh gas in a certain amount of time.

Sorry this is happening Mike. I will be interested to see what the dealership says when they examine it. There is no way there is an inch of gas in the oil pan. That would be too much. I’m not 💯 % on that but it seems out of whack. My oil is about a 3/4” over the hashes on the stick too, but mine is running fine. Not sure on the oil level, I attributed it to oil from the factory being high. Doesn’t seem right but who knows. I hardly ever drive in electric mode, always hybrid mode.

Says oil level should be checked 5 minutes after shutting off a fully warmed engine. So this could explain my off reading, because I checked mine cold. I’ve always checked my vehicles cold. Never had a problem with the range not reading in the crosshatches after filling to spec. First Jeep though.
