Quick question about FORM behavior. My vehicle currently displays the EMU FORM message typically when started but will allow me to still switch to Electric mode anyways at which time the FORM message disappears. Then whenever I switch back to Hybrid mode, the FORM message comes back and it won’t let the Jeep run in electric mode when optimal (typical behavior in FORM). Also on occasion I’ve started the vehicle and the FORM message will appear but it’ll stay in the Electric mode with the engine on.

I assume this all means I’m in step 1 of FORM? Only asking as I’ve only ever been in step 2 or 3 and this behavior seems slightly different from what I’ve read on other threads about step 1.

Have you had the tsb updates? I've seen some discussion about being able to switch into electric even after it displays it post update. It sounds like they may have tweaked the step 1 behavior to still act the same, but give the heads up instead of not showing until the engine fires

Yup I got it done near the end of Feb and that would make sense because I started noticing it right after I got that update. Interesting, so basically acts in FORM whenever in hybrid mode but comes out of FORM if you choose electric mode. I presume it’ll be the same procedure of driving an extended duration at higher engine temps to clear it then

I assume it will only let you switch it to electric in step 1 of form. Makes more sense that it would behave this way for step 1.

Clearing procedure should be the same idea.
I agree, this seems like a good improvement for them to make and I think will help with a lot of people’s frustration with FORM.
