I have been on the waitlist for all the recalls for over a month now. My 2021 Rubicon 4xe still decides "when" it would like to run in electric mode, hybrid, etc. I had another sensor go off not saying something about front collision issue and I was parked with no cars around. Also, anyone else notice the tires sort of screech when stopping and NOT applying too much quick pressure? Seems when there is a slight incline but people on the street have noticed it walking by even. When I bring it in, are there any key things to say to make sure they know what to fix on this "electric mode not available" when gas and oil are fine and climate control is OFF...even though that is ridiculous. Thank you!

I have a base model What is (Conventional Differential Front Axle w/ Disconnect) thought that was on the Trailhawks. When I go into off-road page it shows unlocked. I have never messed around with it was just wondering for some knowledge. do they lock automatically? etc.

Thanks,

You're thinking of the sway bar disconnect which helps with suspension articulation when offroad.

The differental disconnect just means the front wheel drive can disconnect from being powered and just free spin. The forward motion is just being powered by the rear wheels.

Thanks just read that about the normal 4x4 GCs thank you for the info. Its hard to find a lot of info on the 4xe GC... I was under the impression it was all the time 4wd but I guess not. I went into that offroad page and quickly exited as I had no Idea what I was looking at. First Jeep as you know also first 4x4

Pretty cool page I can see the gauges people were talking about but those are the same ones on the main screen.

Technically, they still are. If you watch the power distribution in the hybrid page, the front only really disconnects at cruising speed and will very quickly re-engage when needed.
I will have to pay attention to that. feel like mine always show 4 arrows every time I have looked. It is one of my favorite pages have it next to nav on the main screen.

I suspect you are correct that not a single 4Xe was built with "trail rated" components except the Trailhawk and that they just copied and pasted the sales materials, including the owners manual and instructional videos, as I have found many inaccuracies in those as well.

Thank you Cummins0867. I will always listen to a guy on his 9th GC. Big JeepWave to you!..Lol
I'm new to the group but I have been educating myself here and elsewhere such as YouTube. I'm looking to buy the GC 4xe Overland and have been looking for a "Trail Rated" version with the Off Road package. They do exist. I watched several YouTube videos with reviews on them and have found two used ones for sale. Just trying to decide whether to buy used or not and how much I want to pay.

If you can find it used or otherwise buy it...I'm pretty sure its no longer an option....unless you get a Trailhawk. These videos your watching were more than likely early release models that had it...along with those used ones you mentioned were probably early release...but when it comes to production....not sure why they stopped putting it on the Limited's and Overland's but they did.

My question to you is were the used ones that you found "4Xe" Overland's or did they have the V6 in them?

EDIT: I stand corrected It looks like you can get it...in an Overland and Overland 4Xe

As we all know, what they say is available to order doesn't really mean that it's available to actually submit the order.

We wanted the Rocky Mountain Pearl when we ordered. It says that it was available to order when building on the Jeep site. The 2022 brochures all said that it was available. When it came to submitting the order, the color option was not available on any trim level.
