It is FIXED!!!!

In January we bought our 22 JGC TrailHawk 4Xe and were super happy of the promises of gas savings, economy, and have 4WD. 2 weeks later it broke. The main battery melted down and the service techs replaced all the batteries. No reason was given for the meltdown and cause a little apprehension with my wife parking the fixed Jeep (took a month) in the garage. I ain't gonna lie it got me too. Well all was almost good except the slow blinkers. I joked and said my blinkers needed blinker fluid. after a few months of stewing on the problem because we wanted to drive our new Jeep we took it back again to the dealership, this was the second time this problem was being addressed as the first time we were told it was normal (it wasn't). A corporate engineer just happened to be at the dealership the day we brought our Jeep in and was confronted with the issue. He conferred with another engineer and a week later the fix was it was a software issue and needed to be flashed. I write this to let others I do not have a case number.

So you still have slow blinkers and waiting on the new software?

Ours are now slow after a recent software update...

No, it is fixed and the blinkers work fine. I noticed a few other people had the same issue so I wanted to share.
Mine has the slow blinker as well, good to know there is a fix.

Mine is at the dealership now and they can’t get the turn signals to work properly. It would be awesome if you could share your work order details or if you had a contact at the dealer my service writer could speak with. Thanks!

We have an appointment for next Friday to have it checked out for the recall. I have also added for them to check out the blinker issue. If I remember, I will ask them to make sure they document the fix since this is really a common issue popping up.

Did they let you know they have a fix? My service writer said they actually searched the 4xe forums for a fix yesterday. If there is a SW fix it isn’t published internally within FCA.

The service manager said that he talked to Detroit (which I guess is just talking to engineering) about something else and brought up the slow blinker item. They acknowledged there was an issue and that it had something to do with the updates.

This was 2 weeks or so ago, and it will be about 3 weeks by the time it goes back into the shop next Friday. If it wasn't going in for the recall check, we would be waiting a little while longer to have the blinkers looked at since it doesn't seem to bother my wife.
