Please look at attached drawing. Both J&L OSC and Mishimoto are connecting their respective catchcans differently per their install instructions. You will notice that J&L OSC is connecting at the 2.0L PCV. Which one is the correct?

Maybe we need one of each, ha.
I just put the J&L on my 2.0. So obviously I did it where you show the J&L intersect.
I have seen someone on one of the FB forums post a couple times that they have a catch can where J&L has it. They have posted 2 times now (that I have seen), about all the crud they get with that intersection.
IIRC, they did mention there was another place that could be intersected, but no crud is caught from that place - so the comment was, why bother.
I just installed mine this week so in 1K miles from now I'll be checking.

Can somebody convince me we need this unit? Seems like it's more necessary for turbo, direct-injection engines, but it seems that tge EGR system should take care of it too. Is the need enhanced by hot-weather crawling offroad?

Not really. This is one of those things that often looks dramatic, but the actual benefits of are always questionable.

Has anybody installed a catch can on the Wrangler 4XE?
I see the J&S will work.
The Mishimoto catch-can ( bracket) will not work on the 4XE.

Catch can = unnecessary maintenance and you’ll never own the vehicle long enough to see if it works.

Really though, its the intake valves that we need to be looking at, not the piston tops.

Now this worked in my 1969 air cooled Volkswagen engine but the blow by was a little more dramatic.
