A camouflaged Jeep Wrangler has been recently spotted testing. Could this be a test vehicle for the Recon? Or another Jeep EV?

Might just be for a styling refresh, or new engine (new Stellantis inline 6). At Eastern Safari, Jeep had a very different looking grille for some of their Wranglers.

It has halogen lights, so not good for the EV argument, however, it looks like it has the plug on the driver side cowl?

The recon is on the stla frame architecture. Wrapping a wrangler body around that would be a huge undertaking just to disguise a test mule.

Possible bulge in the hood and the rear end is obscured. Electrified 392. I wish.

It’s not the full BEV Wrangler. I’ve been inside the workshop where the engineers are working on the real ones, and I’ve seen the 2-door and 4-door versions. 👀😁

Actual Wrangler BEV’s. They’re several years from being a reality, the 4-door will be out several years before the 2-door, and they won’t be JL’s. It’s going to require the next platform to make both the 4-door and 2-door a reality.

Mid-cycle refresh is 2024 Wrangler, so that is my guess.

Recon would be more likely under JGC, Stelvio, or Grecale.- Frankenstein then Wrangler.
