any one have an experience with the above level 2 charger? any issue with it being too many amps as it is 40 amp not 32?
I’ve been using it for almost a year without issues. I don’t have the extension cord but I’m sure won’t be a problem given it’s made for it. No issue on the amps either, the Jeep will only take in 32.

if the jeep only takes 32 amps do you set the charger down to 32 amps somehow? will 40 amps hurt the batter?

Lectrons are hit or miss. Some people never have a problem. Some have major overheating issues. They don't have ul listings (which means many insurance companies won't cover fires caused by them) and some of their product have design issues... like the amperage they draw is too high for the outlets they have plugs for.

With quality, ul rated units with a much better feature set being close to the same price, I can't fathom choosing a lectron.

I've been pretty happy with the Wall Box Pulsar Plus 40 Amp. Though it did occasionally freeze up at the end of a charging session with the GC 4xe. Never froze with my Fiat 500e. Wall Box support is awesome. They immediately sent me a replacement even though the unit locking up was sporadic. I simply had to unplug it. Comes with a 25ft cable and is UL listed.

Another quality unit to consider is the Autel Maxicharger. Goes on sale often on Amazon. UL Listed. WiFi compatible, has a nice app for your smartphone which lets you adj amperage, see charging stats, how much each charge costs, etc.

As far as portable goes, I also have a Besen BS- PCD018. You can run it 110-250v max 16A. If you have access to a Nema 14-50 adapter you can get the full 3.6kW. I have only really used it on 110v. So 12 hour charging instead of potentially 4 hours. I do plan to use it at full potential next time I'm at an RV park with 50A service.

Searching their ul listings tells me everything I need to know about them.

They advertise the juice booster 2 as being ul listed, but if you look up the company, they only have one ul listing and it's for the plug itself, the the evse.

You see this a lot with the Chinese companies... they'll claim ul listing and then it turns out that the wire they're using inside is ul listed or something like that.
