OK, so I'm new to this forum but not new to Jeep's or some pretty cool builds. But, this will be our 1st Grand Cherokee build! So here is the 1st mod., new Raceline 951BZ Ryno wheels (factory tires, but they looked better on there wheels). Working with Gobi Racks for a new roof top rack and Baja Designs on some cool new LED lights. Stand by!

Awesome build. Where do you want to take it off-road?
Yes, absolutely! Probably not as serious stuff as we take our Rubicon's, but for sure offroad. We live in Florida but we own a place in Grand Junction, CO too and so it will go there and tackle Imogene Pass and other trails in the Ouray area as well as Moab, so yes, Offroad for sure! Thanks, Ben

Is that a Trailhawk with 18" wheels? tires don't look like something found on an Overland or Summit.
I look forward to whatever else you do. I'd love a roof rack but like the panoramic sunroof too.
And lights, we all need lights!
Have you considered putting a winch on it? I've been looking at this but want to find folks who have actually did it.

Yes, the new Trailhawk's have 18" wheels. And yes, we would be interested in a winch, possibly. I too would like to see one, before I'd pull that trigger. The Gobi Rack we are going with, allows the use still of the panoramic sunroof too.

Ben,

How about replacement LED fog lights (that work at the same time as the high beams) that resemble the Trailhawk concept from 2 years ago ? I am not a fan of adding anything that ruins aerodynamics, or of visible cables, and adore drop-in/bolt-on replacements that extend functionality and that generally preserve the factory look. I want these double stack fog lights and like everyone else, I have the single stack. Make them with different beam patterns too :) Thanks.

Seems strange to me that the Trailhawk comes with the Quadra-Trac II system and not the Quadra-Drive II which seems more off-road capable! Why save the best system for only the most luxurious models? While I won't be taking the Trailhawk on the most extreme trails...have the Gladiator to bash around with...it does seem limiting in scope of its intended purpose.

Thanks guys! And yes, I 100% agree with you guys about the lower fog lights? WTH are those one ice cube looking things? Worthless... We will be looking into to something different for this area. Ben

Common misunderstanding of the Jeep nomenclature in their marketing materials. Trailhawks have the much lusted for rear eLSD so they do in fact have QD-2.

I thought it might had been a misprint, but in looking at my window sticker the Quadra-Trac II is the listed system. I guess I won't know till I play with it in the mud...

As I said, it is a misunderstanding perpetuated by the marketing department. Right under what you underlined it also shows Electronic LSD Rear Axle. That makes your vehicle a Quadra Drive Equipped Vehicle. You have all the gear one can have on these vehicles. And yes, in a distant past, QD-2 vehicles also had a front locker but not anymore (not since WK2 series 2011-2022)

Please correct me if I'm wrong....but I'm pretty sure when the Jeep "Trail Rated" originally came out as far as Transfer-cases go.... for a Jeep to be "Trail Rated" it had to have the two speed transfer-case (high and low range). This is the Quadra-Trac II transfer case. The Quadra-Trac I is only a high range transfer case no low range. I know there's more for it to be considered "Trail Rated" than just the transfer case.

Unless Jeep changed something...
