I recently had a check engine light come on and when I scrolled through noticed the same (non) reading on oil pressure. Took it to the dealership and they said it was software related and they ran some updates. Could be the same thing?

 

It probably is some software glitch, but I don’t have any warning lights showing. No CEL. If someone doesn’t have a solution that’s quick and easy, I guess I’ll have to take it in the Jeep.

 

Is there anyone who can confirm that they are getting an oil pressure reading in the gauges page? I’m interested to find out if all GC 4xes don’t read oil pressure or if mine is defective.

 

We've been driving around in EV so much that I am not often looking at that particular page when the ICE does kick on but I will try and keep an eye out next time I am out and about.

I will add that this past weekend I topped off with fuel as I wanted to reset some things to do some actual mileage calculations and noticed that the fuel gauge did not update immediately. I added about 5 gallons of fuel for 2 weeks worth of driving, including a longer highway run that exhausted the EV range. I stopped at another gas station on my way home to see if just maybe the last pump I was at cut off early but only able to put in something like 0.3 Gallons extra before the pump kicked off. Once I got back in and started the car AGAIN, the fuel gauge finally caught up.

I did not have this issue on the long road trip home after picking up the GC and filling up from closer to empty.

 

Great. Much appreciated. I do most all my driving in electric as well so only recently noticed the oil pressure not working while the ICE is running.

 

Quick run around the area to grab a few things and switched on esave to force the engine on... Oil pressure showed almost instantly and built up as it should when accelerating.

yep, normal behavior is that you should have a readout greater than 0 the moment the ICE kicks in. If you are running electric 0 is normal.

 

Yes, I’m talking about zero with the ICE clearly running. All other gauges work fine showing the engine running.

 

I pulled up the off-road gauges when driving this morning. Engine was on and still had “—“ readout for oil pressure on off-road page. Oil pressure was clearly showing on the Vehicle Info in the dash.

 

Battery was on E, driving with engine on and this is what I see in Offroad Pages

 

That’s what mine looks like. No oil pressure on the off road pages. I’m sure it should read the pressure.

 

The oil pressure drops to zero when operating under electric only propulsion. Are you sure the engine is running? I panicked the first time checking out the gauges and saw zero 0.

 

Same issue, its -7 degrees and battery is not an option right now. I too show "-" on the offroad pages but dash cluster says 19psi at low RPM's. Anyone had this addressed by Jeep yet and what was the solution?

 

I'm bringing mine in next week and will bring this up. Identical behavior here. I know it's nit-picky but still, it should work...

 

I have a 2022 GC Summit 300 miles, mine has oil pressure indicator on drivers screen seems intermittent. It indicates pressure and then suddenly drops out then back on right away. The oil pressure on the center display in off road pages only shows two dashes. No indication at all, even when the other gauge reads something.

 

The pressure will drop to zero when you're driving all electric. At least on the drivers center screen. Even in Hybrid, your ICE engine will kick on and off depending on what's being used. You'll see this even driving in Esave on the highway.

The 4x4/offroad screen is a glitch that is not showing any psi information.

 

Well, after four months my off road pages oil pressure gauge suddenly started working! I don’t know if a software update came through or not. But everything is working. I had taken it in to Jeep, and they confirmed the defect a couple of months ago. They said Jeep was aware of the problem and would fix it in software. I guess they have, but I’ve received no notice of an update. It just started working.

 

hmm I don't think I even have that off road page. If I do it shoes the same stuff as the one in the dash cluster. I thought I read someone just got a new update. I could be wrong but think I read it on here.

 

Of course, the ICE engine must be running, but otherwise that was my condition until a couple of months ago when it suddenly started working. Both on the instrument cluster and on the off road pages. I have no idea why it started working after months of it not. I guess I got a software over the air update. Anyway, it has been working fine now for maybe three or four months. Jeep is aware of the problem. If you need an update it’s free.

 

yep.. started working once i made sure the hybrid engine was not on. Makes sense. no need for oil pressure on an electric engine. thanks!
