I have a new 4XE.
Seems like any time i go over a bump, there is a rattle type noise from the rearend.

Ive taken off the top, doors, spare tire, adjusted the back door.

I still cant find the rattle.
Is this common??
is it a mechanical issue that i have to take it in and have it looked at??

No. I checked that.
its pretty snug.

I have the exact same issue. It’s especially bad when you’re silent in EV mode and hit a bump and it sounds like a tambourine. -

Took mine in for 1st oil change & asked them to check it out. Dealer said multiple heat shields were loose as well as a backing plate and they tightened them.

Has not fixed the problem. Still have the noise over bumps.

I agree, in EV mode, you hear everything. Its a love hate relationship.
I would get use to the noise, if i knew what it was. lol... I hate not knowing what the noise is...

It really sounds like the tailgate is making noise, but after adjusting it to the point of having to slam it closed, thats not the fix.

I almost want to lay on a mechanics dolly and have someone drive around while i listen for the noise.. haahahaha.

Ive tried everything...
Ive had the jeep naked.
tire off
bracket off
adjusted the back door multiple times.

I am installing a rear track bar on the weekend.
Maybe that will have something to do with it.

Everytime i screw around with something on the rearend, i cross my fingers that i solved it.

So far, no luck.

I will reply to this once i install the track bar

I have a stock Rubicon JLU and the tailgate has started rattling when I drive over bumps. It's driving me crazy. Anyone else have this problem? I had someone sit in the back to try to pinpoint the noise while I was driving and all we could tell is the noise is coming from the latch area...

I have a 2021 4xe noise in rear inside over bumps still haven’t nailed it down have you found anything it could be

Yes! My car does the same 2021 4e and I just left the dealership, they said I was leaking shock fluid and they changed my rear shocks but yet the sound is coming from the left front area!! And when I go over a bump it still makes that noise!! So I don’t know what else it could be!!
