Rattle noise in front end/engine compartment

I happily took delivery of our new 2022 GC 4xe Trailhawk last week and have loved every minute with it. Unfortunately, I'm noticing a faint but persistent rattle in the front right side at slow speeds and on bumpy pavement/roads. It doesn't seem to be the suspension as large bumps and potholes make normal road noise whereas the rattle sounds like a rock rolling and rattling in a plastic jar. I've checked under the hood and nothing is loose. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Will likely bring it to the dealer for inspection next week...

I have the same rattling noise in the 4xe summit. As I accelerate it gets louder and faster...almost sounds like when you have a card on a bike spoke. With higher speeds it just sounds like a vibration rattle in the front end. ive only had it for about 2 weeks. noticed the noise a week ago. Unfortunately my dealer cant run diagnostics till beginning of the year!
Upon delivery I’ve had a plastic on plastic rattle in the dash near the lighted charging indicator pod. After 200 miles it seems to goes die down after warm up.

I also have isolated a plastic rattle on the rear lift gate. If you tap on the plastic next to the locking mechanism on the gate, the plastic surround on the lift gate, the plastic is very thin and tends to creak. I’ll use some black felt under the surround to see if that fixes it.

I have an appointment with my dealer to check it and if they find anything I’ll update this post.
Those are both a little different... noises are so annoying and hard to pin down! My noise stays the same regardless of speed but is most noticable at slow speeds. Also, it seems to go away until the truck is warmed up. Will report back is the dealer is any help...

wish there was an easy way to upload video - I have a ton of recordings of what mine sounds like
I uploaded a video of the sound - its coming from the passenger side

Speeds up to a loud rattle when I go over 45- once I slow down it just sounds like a clicking noise you cna hear that towards the end of the video
You need to make sure that it isn't set to private for us to view it.

That is definitely a different noise than mine. The rattle I have is almost like a bad strut rattle but strangely it is only at slow speeds, below 15 mph. I have an appointment on Jan 9th, hope they can address it.

I have a similar issue (or so I think its an issue). I can hit big bumps and for the most part seems fine, smaller things that a normal vehicle would easily suppress the sound actually sounds the worst. I too am going to have it looked at.

Pretty much describes what I have going on...will keep you posted and look forward to hearing from you on what you find, good luck.
Update: had my GC 4xe Trailhawk into the dealership today for the rattle/clunk noise. They checked all front end steering and suspension components, including torque to spec. All was good except a faulty front right strut/air bellows assembly. Part is on order and will await install, hoping that solves the mystery noise...

took my 4xe summit in. they couldnt figure it out. The had a tech sit in it while they lifted the car up. had two techs underneath and they said they heard a humming ticking noise coming from the transfer case and will have to replace that. Waiting on part now. I noticed that the sound is clearer and louder on days that its fully charged.

Mine goes in on Feb 1st. Hoping they find something as obvious as I deal with. Makes it seem like I drive this clunky ass used car when its brand new. When I hit big bumps and such its fine but those little bumps (like a dirt road with like rut rumble strips) it sounds like the cheapest suspension ever.

I feel the same way, can't wait till it is fixed and drives like brand new vehicle, like it should. There is no reason a new vehicle should sound like a suspension with 150K miles on it!! Good luck on Feb 1, curious what they find on yours...

Its in the shop this morning. They are supposed to look into the rattle/clunk which seems to be more front/mid and they are also supposed to do the software recall on FORM or something. Ill report back if they just tighten random stuff or if they actually find something.

Let us know how this part goes as well. There was another report that the recall was put on hold while they figured some stuff out, I guess. It still shows up on my JEEP app, so not sure what's going on there.

Hi Drew, I'm Steve, I got a GC trailhawk on 1/12/2023. I had that rattle in the front left. I noticed it on right turns. It was the sway bar. the dealership had to replace it. It took 8 days to get the part. Twice, I was told they heard nothing and I had to drive it with them. It is an issue, and it is a major one. they did rebuild it and now it feels the way it should.

Please keep us posted on the Recall/Campaign Software update. I want to wait to get it as I haven't had any problems with FORM....I haven't even been in FORM yet with about 3800 miles and I have had it since mid October 2022. Just curious how it works for you....I know your temps are much colder than mine here in Kentucky...although we have been in the mid 20's the last couple of days and haven't been above freezing since thus past Sunday. Temps are up and down here but mostly above 40 during the day....just not recently....thanks.
