Hey All! Have been looking and thinking of the 4xe for about a month. Finally pulled the trigger on Friday. Having a blast with it already and can’t wait to see how this thing performs after just the first few days! Appreciate all the posts to learn from.

Had to go topless and get off the paved road today.

Also living in Seattle here.. leaning towards buying a 4xe Rubicon this Saturday. Any regrets so far? Happy with performance?

ONly one is that I didn’t install my L2 charger before picking it up. My driving is such that I’ve gone 280 miles on a quarter tank of gas. The faster charging will just enable more.

Good idea. What charger brand/model did you settle on buying?

How long was charging taking with the included lvl1 charger? I’m not sure if I want to drop $2000 for a lvl2 charger and installation. 😱
12 h to charge to 100% , to 80% goes sufficiently fast like you phone does, the last 20% takes a long time . maybe you check after 6 h how much % charge the 4xe has.
a full charge are 14.5 kwh .

Thanks. I can live with that.

How's that charger working out for you so far? I need to install one outdoors, does this one have any security to it so someone can't just walk away with it?
Working great. The app allows you to control it and lock it out.

I was getting 13.5 hours to 100%. I tend to do several short trips around during the day so being able to top it off in 30 - 60 min keeps me 100% on electric. Based on my electric bill and the rate charged, I’m spending ~$1.50 for 25 miles. Gas here is $3.60 so even if I had a car getting 25/gal I’m still saving over $2/gal. All in I spent ~$1200 on it. Install was $550.

Would you recommend your installer? I’m looking for a local guy here in Seattle area for a proper install.

Absolutely. I used Pakwest Electric. They communicate via FB Messenger. Had it set up within 2 days of first reaching out (on a Saturday) and install within a week.
