Software update for recall

The software update isn't supposed to "fix" through vehicle. It is supposed to identify which batteries are actually in need of replacement and then they replace the battery. Most won't need the battery replaced.

So you're sure it does not affect range, charging rates, discharging rate, or any other performance related aspect of the vehicles?
I haven't seen any evidence that it does. You'll always get the anecdotes from people that say they're getting more miles or less miles per charge after (i have seen people claiming both), but I haven't seen anyone claiming any quantified difference in charging times, kWh per charge, etc.

It is most definitely a firmware/software update that completely changes how the vehicle performs. Had the recall completed yesterday and the jeep drives completely different. Let off the gas and it feels like you are hitting the breaks and you have accelerate to go down hill. Drives like an electric golf cart.
You have max regen turned on. Likely got turned on when they did the drivecycle test. Just press the button to turn it off and you'll be back to normal.
