If we have factory tires would we be ok to add these?

The issue is with weight on the hinges/mounts. Presumably, youll be putting stuff on these racks, which won't be light. I personally wouldn't do it without reinforcing things.

You have two points of reinforcement to consider. The actual pivot hinges and the rear sheet metal that the spare carrier mounts to. Personally, I'd want something that reinforces both, especially if I may be adding a bunch of weight. I'd probably be more concerned about reinforcing the sheet metal than the hinge itself if I was only going to do one.
