Well, I just did the unthinkable...

I just returned from my dealership and ordered a MY23 Summit Reserve and MY23 Trailhawk (both 4xe, of course).

The Summit Reserve will be identical to my current one plus the High Altitude Package and Rear Entertainment system.
The Trailhawk will also be the same but will have currently missing Luxury Tech Group III and Rear Entertainment.

I was planning on ordering the Trailhawk in Midnight Sky with the black wheels and Pano-Roof as well but neither the black wheels nor the Pano-Roof are currently available to order (checked with two dealers). I did not want to mix the grey painted wheels with the Midnight Sky so I went with the matching Baltic Gray again.

Dealer agreed on kbb trade-in value for good condition +$1,000 for each trade-in at time of delivery and the agreed upon price for the new ones will be 5% below invoice.

Based on the current lease offer, my monthly lease-payment will actually go down (Summit Reserve will be $100/month less while the Trailhawk will be $50/month more).
Not bad considering the upgrades.

In addition, it appears that there will be some nice equity to pocket in those two vehicles. How much exactly is difficult to tell because the trade-in value is likely to go down 'til the day of delivery. However, so will be the pay-off of my current rides.

Let's see how this is going to turn out... ;)

Stellantis financial is the captive bank for CDJR that got stood up maybe 6 months ago.

(...)

They've been trying to cut ties with Santander for a while, so we are seeing a gradual transition.
Interesting - good to know!

May programs were just released and the $7500 is still there. Must have been a database screw up.

Just heard back from my leasing source.

So it seems that for my ZIP-code, the incentive for the Trailhawk went down to $1,000 BUT for the Summit Reserve, it went up to $5,000 (both plus the $7,500, of course).

Mllcb42, if I understood this right, at the time of placing the order, it locks in the then valid incentives (I know the $7,500 are not and I assume the same applies to the MF and RV).

But how does this exactly work? On the Summit Reserve, the incentives were $3,000 when I ordered and are $5,000 now. If they go down again for June, what would I be entitled to?

On the Trailhawk, I guess the $3,000 from last month would be valid now.

Thanks in advance!

You lock in the incentives, rv, and mf. If the programs are better when the build is done, you can use the current programs instead, but it's all or nothing. You can't use the new incenti es with the old mf and RV, etc

Ah, got it, thanks! I did not know the MF/RV could be locked in, too.

I guess what I could do then if the numbers for next month would be the same as the current ones (just in theory), I could use the current numbers on the Summit Reserve with the $5,000 incentives and the April numbers for the Trailhawk with the $3,000. LOL!
Yup. Whenever it comes in, just use whatever is cheaper.

Thanks, will do.

I will actually have to search for the MF/RV that was in effect the day I ordered. If found some numbers with the matching term and miles but it's from another ZIP. I do know that incentives can differ regionally but do you happen to know if MF and RV are the same nationwide?

Mf and rv for ccap are typically nationwide. There are occasionally exceptions.

Thanks! In that case, I'll stick to the numbers I have until they can prove me wrong. ;)
Man I should have held out for the summit reserve. :)

Well, I have to admit that I did not expect a $5,000 incentive. If you add that alone to the $7,500.....you basically have equity in your ride the moment you drive off the lot.

Although the $5,000 are not secured in my case since it's highly unlikely my vehicles will arrive in time to use the May numbers, I played around with the lease calculator.

If you consider the private cash, the additional 1% below invoice equalling $800, the 5% below invoice I was offered plus everything from CCAP and deduct all fees and the tire insurance, I'm still looking at a net of about $18,000 off MSRP, resulting in a monthly payment below $850 incl. tax.

This is hard to beat these days on a $85k vehicle - especially if you consider the equity you will have on day 1.
UPDATE:

Although this probably already happened a few days ago, it's now official. Vehicle #1 is built:

The Summit Reserve still shows as "Scheduled" for 19 days but if I recall correctly, it was about that time when the Trailhawk went into production as well so there might be a change on the Summit this week as well.
Today, the Window Sticker of the Trailhawk was made available:

Was the pano roof available for order on the '23 Trailhawk?

Unfortunately, it wasn't. Same applied to the black wheel option.

Wanted to have both but no luck. Confirmed through a second dealer at the time.
I'm still bummed that the Rocky Mountain Pearl still seems to be listed but we weren't able to order it. Not sure it can be even for a 23.

I ordered a 23 in rocky mountain pearl and it was built this week.
