It doesn't happen every time but some times I get like a video game chime. Does anyone know what this is I am just curious.

Thanks,

I was in "Hybrid"-mode so I guess we can rule out the drive-mode as well.

When I checked the App, I noticed that it now shows you what public charging points are in the area. If that has anything to do with it - I have no idea...

It must be some new "feature" though because I never heard it under similar conditions.

The app updated at some point last week I believe. We can also see the estimated range on the map. Previously we did not see any range on the map or it would error and say range unavailable when viewing the map.
Forgot to add: after I heard that chime, I powered down the car, stepped back out, walked a few feet away, walked back in, repeated the above conditions, and no chime that time.
I also turned it off and started new. No sound.
It seems like it happens after the car has sat after a while. Maybe the 4xe is just simply expressing how much it missed us 😘.

No one named their car Christine...right?
Do you have memory seats? Is this telling you that it's recognizing the setting for the driver? I have a small pop-up with that info and the sound comes up when the alert shows on the screen. Note: the sound might happen without the screen notification...

If it was memory seats I would think we’d hear it more often. 4 drives today and only 2 made the sound
Interesting - I'll record all the sounds tomorrow to see if I'm hearing what you're hearing.

Strangely enough, I did not hear the sound when I left home after the car was sitting for 2 days but I heard it after I parked for about 2 hours while shopping.

This is really strange. They must have performed some remote update because I never heard it prior to today.
It has nothing to do with the battery percentage or anything. I’m starting to think somewhere along the lines as Bluetooth connecting. I heard it And it pulled up my car play up. We will see in the morning.
I thought about Android/Car Play as well...

I thought that as well, but it seems sporadic enough not to be that. My phone connects every time I get in the car, but yet I don’t get that noise every time.
Does anyone have access to a non-4xe GC to determine if the chime is limited to us PHEVs?

I don't know anyone with a new GC. But that is a good question.

I think it might have to do with the uconnect starting on random screens. One of the screens I feel makes that noise.
I have had the car for about 5 weeks now. Today was the first time I heard it. Mario cart sound is a decent description of the sound. It chimed right when Ipushed start and only lasted a second. My seatbelts were not on and the battery was almost fully charged. Will listen more carefully now that I know what it sounds like. Interesting puzzle.

So far, it seems like it's not the seatbelt, battery charge status, or hybrid-electric mode. RE: the bluetooth, for the people who have heard the chime, does everyone have Android Auto or Carplay linked up? Because it definitely sounds like it comes from the UConnect system (not the typical car alert/warning chime). So it may be UConnect or Android Auto/Carplay related (maybe even a notification/alert from within Android Auto/Carplay)?
My phone connect to CarPlay every time I’m in the car. With that said I haven’t heard the “sound” in 3 or 4 days.

It’s definitely related to the UCONNect

Right. I'm wondering if maybe it's a notification/alert from our phone that's triggering UConnect to make that chime.

Edit: I guess a way to find out is if anyone doesn't use Android Auto/Carplay at all and they still get the chime.
A Jeep engineer simply added this noise to distract all of you from the fact that Epstein didn't kill himself
