Yes.
After having the vehicle for a week, they tell me that there is nothing wrong . With the gas issue and the suspension.
They told me they drove it all around at different speeds.
I have the app. That u can track the movement of the vehicle.
It shows they went 1.3 miles. At an average speed of 13 mph!
I will be dealing with them tomorrow when I pick it up
Yeah they must think people are stupid. My cars in for the coil recall engine/battery should not be on. I will be asking them why my car was left on for over an hour now with zero battery. Also where they took it 6.5 miles because it should be on a Jack in the shop.

Update on my suspension noise issue - replaced lower control arms. Not fixed. Approved yesterday for buyback (went through lemon law attorney).
Going through same process now for buyback... unreal that they don't have a fix for this as there are many many GC 4xe's with the front clunk. Really too bad as I otherwise really love the vehicle but Jeep clearly has work to do to make this these vehicles the good experience that customers deserve, between the clunks and transmission leaks.

What are you looking at getting?

I'd really like to try again with GC 4xe but the number of serious problems and sub-par service, including parts rationing and supply issues have me thinking twice. I really like the PHEV that can tow and am also looking at Mazda CX-90 PHEV however that is a brand new platform...gotta do some more research.

My GC 4xe Trailhawk fits my needs perfectly for in town electric only driving and with the ability to tow but have really lost confidence in Jeep unfortunately...

Just traded in a 2021 Mazda for the Jeep because it had a TSB of oil leaking into the combustion chamber through some Gasket they changed. The local dealer here were complete D bags and gave me a hard time about it. Won't ever do business with Mazda again. Even though I LOVED the car it had everything you would want. But their customer service sucks. I guess like most places now HA.
Good luck on the new ride.

Long story short it took them over a year to figure out how to fix the leak which required taking pretty much the whole top of the engine off week long fix.

Yikes...these kinds of things can happen with any manufacturer. I'm definitely at a crossroads that I never wanted to be looking at as I've otherwise really enjoyed the Jeep...

Yeah I completely understand things happen but they way mazda handled the whole thing was not okay in my book. Thankfully it was a lease and I wasn’t stuck with it. But now someone bought a car that has had oil leaking into the combustion chamber for 2 years. That can not be good long term for the engine.

Did u continue to drive it when u were going thru the lemon law process
Of course. You continue to make the payments, drive it, live life as you would

I’m choosing to drive it as my mileage useage was calculated at first service for issue (300 miles). Essentially I’m driving it for free until they pick it up. I can deal with the clunk on a free ride (for the time being). I’ll be glad tho once this saga is over. Won’t see me back at the Jeep brand.

After a week.of getting the run around from Jeep Wave I am back to square one.
No one from Jeep ever called me back to discuss the open claim. I have or why they can't tell Me after their review of the case they are not able to take the car back.
Deal is worst dealer ever that I have had to deal with in my 38 years of buying Jeeps.

Car is still at their dealership since 7/12/2023.
What is the next step?

We have a 2023 GC L summit reserve and are experiencing the clunking from the passenger front at slow speeds that also sounds to me like a bad shock. I suspect the sound is coming from the air strut but who am I?
Dealer opened a Star Case and they were instructed to order a Chassis Ear to try and pinpoint where the sound is coming from.
Once the dealer received the device the tech is communicating back and forth with Star as to where to put the sensor. So far they have had the vehicle for a week and I’m really afraid that I’m going to get one of those “We can’t replicate the issue” cop outs.
We’ll see.

Same issue that I had in the same spot. Strut replaced. Sway bar end links replaced. Upper control arm replaced. Lower control arm replaced. Total days out of service 45.
Paperwork finalized with attorney and FCA. Buyback for every penny I spent including tint and registration. First contact from attorney May 25. About a 2 month process.

I also suffered from massive clunk. Took 55 days to get parts and repairs. Could barely go over 20 without the clunk bang being so disruptive no one wants to be in the car with me.

Changed seat bar end, it did help, but I'm afraid the damage is fine to the control arms already.

Had no contact from Jeep service for 37 days waiting for parts while the car was parked. No returned calls. Opened case with Wave with repurchase request. 12 days nothing. Started calling and they said the dealer could not get parts to complete repair.

They were supposed to call me on Friday but didn't. I'll call in next week. They are very stressed over there. They kept putting words in my mouth trying to get me to say in requesting Arbitration, when all I asked for was for them to read my letter. They kept saying "what letter" and I'm like "the letter which opened this case" then they kept saying they aren't lawyers and can't really about stuff with me, when all I asked was if they read my letter or not.

I'm curious, I feel like this should only effect trailhawks/sway bar disconnect. But if the Overland has a fixed sway bar, how would the suspension get damaged with normal driving other than the joint bushings being garage?

I drove a new overland, and it was tight and high end. Before service my trailhawk was like a 200k mile Hyundai Tucson.

I was given a loaner overland to compare while they finished the sway bar ends, and it wasn't as tight as the first overland I drove to investigate the difference of the suspension.

What a mess

I first noticed the clunk at 800miles

Cross post from an older thread....

Drove some more today with new sway bar ends. Things were more quiet under there, BUT I took a slow right turn (from a stop to a right turn onto a road, at maybe 3 mph) and heard and felt a clunk. I did not hit a road crack or uneven surface. I know that sound to well from my BMW days. That was a control arm bushing and/or ball joint being shot. I'm guessing the miles driving on the failed sway bar system caused the entire systems bushings to get over worked and destroyed.

I'll be trying to dig into that more, but since the wheels are large and I'm not sure I can jack 6600 lbs myself safely to apply enough force to tests for a control arm movement, I'll have to ask the dealer to check i guess.

Sad

I have a few problems with the front suspension. They are very different sounds, one with the air suspension airbag and the other like a suspension bushing or bar loose. This sound is coming from the front passenger side. The rattle noise is when running at 30 to 34 mph and then replicating at 60 to 64. I think the rattle noise is coming from vibration from the electric motor.

I have a 2022 Overland with about 500miles on it and definitely have some thuds and clunking coming from the front end, majority sounds like passenger side. Have kind of been ignoring it for the time being…

I have a 23’ 4xe overland. It makes noise when I am turning a lot the wheel. It feels like it’s the suspension or something clicking. It’s very new just have 3k miles on it.
