Yes, I'm in PA
Whats likely happening here is your really short drive distances mixed with the very cold weather had you never even starting to get things warm. You're dumping fuel into the engine on every start up and never starting to burn it off. The algorithm uses a multiplier based on temp and other conditions based on time to calculate fuel dilution levels.

Basically, you get hit with a big penalty on a cold start, and then as the engine warms up and you spend time at temperature, you "work off" that penalty. You're never working any of it off because of how short your drive is. There probably is something in the algorithm which is being overly conservative with how much of a penalty it issues and you're just not ever getting past it.

Do you do the drive to and from work multiple times a day? Do you remote start to warm up the engine or anything along those lines?

I would remote start to warm up the Jeep before I go to work. I'm usually stuck at work for 8 hours.. Haha.

My question is, Am I really out of oil?
The only way to answer that question definitively would be to send a sample of your oil out for analysis to see what the fuel dilution level is.

If it is work properly, step 3 of FORM triggers the call for an oil change because it has calculated that the fuel levels in your oil are reaching dangerously high levels and other mitigation strategies aren't working. So either the way you're using it is actually causing really really fast fuel build up (which very short runs in the cold without ever getting the oil hot certainly is going in that direction) or the algorithm is miscalculating because you're falling into a weird corner case. The only way to know for sure would be to do an oil analysis and see if the actual fuel levels in the oil are at a critical level.

Thank you for all the information, you've been a great help. I'll have to discuss this with my dealer and see what we can do. It's just over 2 months old.

One positive aspect is that my Jeep is at the dealer for recall service and an oil change. I just received an email stating "Charging Interrupted," so they must be doing something.

Basically, I go back and forth to work, and that's under 5 minutes away.
This video helps to explain the problem we all face with low mileage gas runs.

I have a faulty ECH, which means I'm driving exactly how you are driving, I'm driving mostly with the manual shifter trying to drive up the temperature, heading to the dealership next week for the ECH issue, so hopefully I can stop these short gas runs soon.

Looks like Stellantis is just kicking the can down the road because they know ultimately all these batteries need replacing, even the batteries they previously replaced for the B9A and 04B recalls, and there is also a very good chance they don't even know if the newer ones that are not part of this 95B recall have additional problems.

They should stop making 4xes period, full stop, Stellantis probably waiting to see if the gravy train subsides get axed in January.

100K+ vehicles are affected, which will cost a couple billion dollars, and they don't exactly have the capacity to even start replacing these batteries, then what happens if they still need to further replace the replacements down the road.

It's very obvious Stellantis doesn't care about customers, and is trying to work out behind the scenes how this fiasco will not bankrupt them, they sure as hell should not get any government bailout.

I'm basically at the point of, just gimme above resale value, so I can go buy a damn Tesla.
So, I took my 22 GC 4xe in for the lat 3-4 recalls, oil change, etc. dropped off with 14,758 miles. All was “Fixed”. 😂 💩 I pick it up yesterday. At 17,760 miles the check engine light came on again. Going to take back next week.

I simply want all my money that I’ve paid back! Going to try to Lemon Law this POS if possible! This is the worse vehicle I’ve ever owned! Swear to God & I’ve own quite a few.

happy New Year Everyone! Hopefully we aren’t the Fireworks this year!

Is it also quite cold where you're at?
I had my 95B service dine 12/18 and it passed???? Yesterday on Jan 1, I got stranded on a ferry in Port Aransas, Texas. $400 towing bill later the Wrangler made it to my driveway. Dealer now diagnosed HV battery as bad. Last one they did took a month.
I had a dash indicator light I cannot find anywhere in Jeep Lit or on line. See the Jeep with the red lines on it?
Been on hold with Jeep Cust Service for almost an hour now to check on towing reimbursement and a loaner. Any Comments or advice?

.

Corporate told me the issue with the fires was with charging and keeping it plugged in for days. Something about the software not detecting correctly and causing the system to I assume, overcharge the batteries past the stop point. This is probably why they recommend not to charge it since they are trying to figure it out. I asked specifically if the Regen system would cause the batteries to catch fire and she said no, it was too low power to trigger this issue.

We also have a Tesla and they actually recommend keeping it plugged in. So we did the same with the Jeep. Plus it only takes a few to max charge so I'll bet most people don't just unplug it when full but leave it plugged in. Maybe not for days, but still. Disturbing and annoying.

I was also offered the rental deal plus $100 gas cards for as long as it takes but never heard back from whoever was suppose to contact us.

Has anyone actually received spendable gas cards? I received emails in November and December that such cards were approved but no follow up emails how to claim the cards. I wonder if people who took the rental offer actually received reimbursement - Stellantis seems to promise payments but not actually make them.

How many

How many miles did your Jeep 4xe fail at?
My HV Battery failed at ~16K miles. Was replaced with same HV battery (by part number) in May 2024.
From what I’ve gathered this may or may not be a battery that contains improved separators (Samsung switched suppliers for the cell separators sometime in late 2023?)

Sadly I’ve lost so much value in this vehicle while it was down for repairs… private party value at $35K I owe so much more than this I can’t bring myself to tell you.

I’ve investigated cash compensation offers with FCA Stellantis both with and without an attorney. I have one on standby if things go south. Was offered $9.5K cash compensation for 9 months cumulative time in shop and failure within first year of ownership. Offer with attorney was $13K, bit after attorneys fees coming out of that both were about the same. The offer with attorney was via pre-litigation.

Jeep has made this process extremely difficult and stressful and outright refused any compensation until we showed them we were willing to sue and that we documented everything. Stellantis FCA Jeep is not a good company to rely on or do business with.

The most essential warning light has never been included on 4Xes. That's the check wallet light.
You got that straight. Lost $35K after accounting for normal depreciation and Jeep will only offer $9.5K in compensation after failure of high voltage battery and 9 months cumulative time in shop… all the while we have to make payments and cover insurance. I couldn’t sell or trade this on without taking a significant hit financially.
Just stuck driving it until it dies, runs out of warranty, or explodes into flames.

I take the time to share this experience in the hopes I can help contribute to deterring anyone from our misery. Jeep is a bad brand and Stellantis FCA is a bad business ethics company to get in bed with. Buyer be Warned.
