2022 Rubicon 4xe. Had issues over the summer with the check engine light. At first, they couldn't figure it out. Eventually, they figured it out...it was the transmission oil modulator. Next day, it was running erratic, transmission was slipping, electric mode not functioning, air condition not working. 2 weeks later they told me the hybrid battery had to be replaced. Took 6-8 weeks to get the battery in but I will say Jeep Cares reimbursed me a daily rate for the Jeep being down. I had the option to get a rental. When it was ready, I picked it up and as I pulled out of the lot the check engine light went back on. I turn around and they tell me it was the heating/cooling element that worked on the hybrid battery. 2 days later that was fixed. Although I had a new battery the recall was still in effect and I had to bring it back for that fix. Did the fix...seemed to be OK but now it keeps going into FORM. It last about 1-2 weeks then it stops. I called Jeep cares again to report this. At first, it sounded like they were going to look for options for me to hand this back in and get a gas model. I then get a call telling me to take it back to the dealer..again...for the FORM issue. I take a pic each morning of the alert telling me electric mode temporarily not available. Now, I noticed if it is in hybrid mode, it goes to FORM. If i push the electric mode, it will go into electric mode. So something is not right in how it is functioning. Can't wait to get rid of this...

Youre in step 1 of FORM due to low levels of fuel in the oil. This is the system functioning as designed. Just need to spend some time driving with the oil hot to burn off the fuel in the oil.

Easiest thing to do is put it in manual mode and drive around a bit aggressively, keeping the revs high. That'll get the oil hotter/faster than normal, clearing it out quicker. Isn't necessary, but that'll speed things up.

I made an appointment to get this recall done. March 11. :ROFLMAO: So I guess I'm not supposed to plug this pos in for another 3 months... Tomorrow I'll start calling other stealerships to seeif I get something sooner. SMH

wBronze, I agree with you completely. I think I'm in the same boat that we are stuck with the thing until it's dead. This is our 3rd Wrangler but this experience has been the opposite with the JK's we had.

I do all that...I drive it...for longer periods of time...and nothing. The aggravating part is that it didn't do this last winter. If this is how it is designed to work it seems like it is a flaw. And why is it doing it now and did not do this last winter?

I live in NJ...although it is cold today...the temperatures have been normal for this time of year....upper 30's.
I live in NJ too (just north of Princeton) and it's been below 30F by me for a few days, but my Jeep has not gone into FORM 🤷‍♂️

As an aside it is ridiculously cold today 🥶 - Hope I am not jinxing myself...

I believe post 95B the threshold for E not available currently (this is not FORM) message is below 7 degree's.

Simple mans observation is pull out of 40 degree garage on E, make it about 1/2 mile down road, watch temp display plummet and when ICE kicked in quick glance at display and it was 7 and then dropped further to 5 this AM

Same yesterday and a few others have said same that a new lower threshold for mandatory ICE is 7 degree's.

My 95B appointment was supposed to be today, but it is a high of 1F here today. So they called me yesterday to reschedule till next week, since they cannot do the driving portion in E today.
Oh, and I got my 2nd message from Jeep/Chrysler saying "heyyyyy!!!! You have a recall! It's important! Why have you not taken it in yettttttttttt?"
:cautious:

Needs to be driven with the oil hot. Long distance cruising on the highway in cold weather, for example, may not ever get the oil sufficiently hot.

Your oil life/starting dilution levels this winter may be worse than they were last year, etc. There are a multitude of variables that go into it

We did the 95b recall last week on our 22 GC and didn’t drive much after. Monday it went into limp mode and the check engine light went on. On my way to bring it back to the dealership almost every warning light flashed and it shut down leaving me on the side of the road. After a few tries I was able to start it and drive 5 blocks to the dealership. Turns out the recall drained the battery and made the car inoperable. They are now replacing both batteries under warranty they don’t know how long it will take. I really think we should have a class action on this with buy backs, the resale value is going to be horrible to get rid of them, the dealership offered $18k on a trade…
