Jeep says don't charge until the recall repair is done. Recall pays .7 hours? Is the jeep supposed to be charged to 70%? If you don't charge, then the dealer has to charge it. My 95b recall was done today. When took it to the dealer the charge was at <1%. Somebody explain to how when the service department opens at 8am, they could charge my jeep, do the recall, change the oil, and then call me at 10:30am saying it was ready for pickup and when I picked it up the charge is at <1% and only 5 miles was put on the jeep.

It must be charged to 75% for the drive cycle test. It sounds like they didn't charge the battery on yours, which means the drive cycle test was not properly completed.

95b is a couple hours, assuming you bring it in uncharged. It's all of .7 billable hours for the dealership. If theyre keeping it for a couple days, they're just getting it in the queue and letting it sit for a while.
Can confirm; my dealership asked specifically if I can wait for up to 2 hours as that is how long they expect it to take.

Make sure to bring your Jeep charged and avoid the wasted time at the dealership as well.

I called the dealer back today and they said they did the charging and the drive cycle test but I'm not convinced. Is there any other way to confirm with chrysler that it was done correctly? According to the video it seems there should be if it's connected to chrysler during the drive cycle.

Adding my 95b recall experience... Picked it up from covert in Austin on Wednesday. They had to call a jeep engineer to the dealer to help because things were not going as expected. They said mine is the first 95b they have performed and the engineer said the data that the tests were gathering about the battery on my '22 Rubicon 4xe was inconclusive.

I was told Id have to to return in 2 weeks when the update is available. However, I was also told that is is ok to charge it. ....sketchy. yesterday, it threw a cel but no code would show up on my basic reader - I guess that makes sense if it's part of the 95b test. I brought it back to the dealer last night. Waiting on more info.

...on the bright side, all the shitty drivability issues with the braking and transmission seem to have been resolved with the 10 (literally) updates it's had in the last 10 days.

Yea they are full of 💩

One was trying to get me to trade in my 2021 for 2024, I asked what does the 24 have that my 21 doesn't, he said oh it's got a nicer radio, to which I replied, so you want me to pay $40,000 Canadian dollars for a radio.
I imagine myself telling the sales person... "You're not very good at this, are you?". Hahaha

Yesterday I set up an appointment for the 95B recall with my local dealer. They could do it on Monday but I set it for January 6 (a day after my second retirement). I'm so lucky to have a competent dealer nearby.

Is it ok to charge the battery before dropping it off at the dealer?
You can, but it is also a good way to tell if they did the test or not.

I've been seeing more and more reports of dealers skipping the drive cycle test and just doing the software flash.
