I originally was quoted about $1000 from Qmerit, called a local electrician company (Fresno, CA) with great reviews and they quoted me $200. The plug is located right by the panel which is exactly where I wanted so that probably explains the reasonable cost. I have had no issues and they did great work. They only took about 1 1/2 hours to get it up and running.

I’ve also noticed if you tell them you need a 240V installed the prices may be much cheaper than if you tell them you need an outlet for an EV. Could be a California thing though.
