UGH! Yup officially on both the Mopar & NHTSA RECALL list for the Fire Hazard 95B Recall. I called the dealship today, they have NO updates from jeep on timeline fix. What is troubling is the delay by jeep in letting customers know, and allowing customers to still drive, when the recall notice itself states that the "vehicle fire while parked or driving can increase the risk of injury". The bigger "risk" is Jeep letting people still drive and not doing the right thing. I hope there are no casualties as a result of someone not getting notified. Sure there's a fire risk, but you can still drive it.. Yup def not letting anyone drive it until resolved.

Have had plenty of jeeps in the past, and love all my wranglers, but this is truly frustrating. JEEP has known about the issue for some time now. They need to take action NOW, either get it fixed in short order, or take them all back! Stay tuned for more info.......

I have a '21 sahara 4xe. It was included in the recall last year. The dealer applied the software flash to my car and said I was good. Now I am part of the recall again. So, hopefully with this fix the developers were more thorough in writing the code to find the issue. BTW, I have been researching EVs and plan to sell this beast ('21 sahara 4xe 16k miles) after the recall fix and get an EV. I have always wanted a jeep but waited until I retired. Now, I don't have the stamina nor desire to do jeep things, I should have bought it when I was 30 :p.
Same here, we rented a 2023 Wrangler 4Xe during our vacation, it was wonderful, after our vacation I started to look for the 4xe, but I heard the 4xe have so many problem with their charging system and battery. I will wait until Jeep fix all the problems then I will buy one.

That is news. Did they tell you that when you called?
After a chat we had with the Stellantis rep, they set up a rental car through Enterprise for 30 days. We have to pay for the rental, then Stellantis will reimburse us when we send them the rental agreement and receipts. Let us hope they can find a fix faster than 30 days.

The recall notice doesn’t say not to charge like the letter above. Is it better to run on gas only?
The 4xe doesn't run on gas only, even in e-save.

Just don't plug it in.

Not really sure who to trust anyways... I trust some members here!

Anyway, I leased my Jeep 4xe for it's EV capability. I'll continue to use it as such. I do park it outside so at least my house won't burn down. If level1 charging will cause itself to burn down, so be it. Let my insurance company buy me out of that lease! :p

What what I've pieced together, it's much lower risk KEEPING the battery at LOW CHARGE.
The activity of charging isn't a trigger per-se, because the Jeep itself charges the battery via braking or from the generator.
But it still keeps it at 1% or less, so it's much lower risk than having a full battery.

My 2021 Sahara 4xe was included in the recall last year and the software flash was applied. 2 days later, it was barely drivable (tons of errors, check engine light, etc.) and the battery was replaced in late spring of this year. That said, I am wondering if I might be able to skate by this latest recall since I already have a new battery. One can only hope. Is anyone else in this situation?
