You might want to hit up @JeepCares with your VIN. Mine magically fixed itself once I did that. But why can't the dealer figure it out, is beyond me.
We did that and it was fine. Now it's doing it again.

To add context:
Friday PM - bad update came through and had to limp it home. Did a few hard resets and disconnected the negative terminal.
Sat AM - Jeep had updated and it was back to normal. Drove it Sunday and Monday with no issues.
Tue AM - took it for 10k mile service and was told last night they were keeping it for diagnostic and safety reasons.
Wed (current) - they said they had performed the recommended (new fix from STAR) update and that it bricked a few miles into the test drive.

I’m now in the queue for a loaner/rental car but no eta on when/if that will ever happen.

Hi everyone,

As of right now (10:32 PM EST) we are caught up on all private messages.

If there is anyone that we have missed out here in the public thread that has not received a message from us to help get the DMs started, please feel free to respond to this message or tag us again.

Our current instruction is for anyone who had previously been deferring to please allow the update to go through when you are parked at home and can then run the vehicle for at least 20 minutes after the update is successful to ensure the fix also comes through.

If anyone is still seeing a CEL, 3-4 key cycles with 30 seconds in between should clear that.

Thanks everyone, more to come.

Hey there,

It's not letting my DM you. Can you see me a message?

Thanks

@JeepCares My dealer has had since Saturday and they haven’t even run diagnostics yet. Should I just pick it up and run it so I can get the update myself?
@JeepCares I'm currently having similar experience with my dealer. They had it since Saturday and still don't know how to fix it. They said they have star cases open but what they are getting from Jeep is very vague, whatever that means.

Super frustrating.

Do NOT do the update!! I did the update last night (I’ve only had the Jeep for 6 days, thought it needed updates). This morning I wake up to a YouTube short of someone saying loss of power and don’t do the update, then all the comments of people saying the same thing happened to them.

I go out immediately and take mine for a drive around the block. All seemed fine and then the Jeep shut off and flashed to put it in Park to start it and CEL came in. I coasted to a stop, shifted to park, restarted it and CEL has remained on. I made it back home but everyone take caution with 2024 4xe!

Curious if anyone else is having the issue after the update and what year.
Had this issue Saturday morning. Didn't have a clue they sent an update. Tried to go somewhere Saturday morning and had the same issues. Limped it back home and after googling the symptoms, I thought it was the aux battery. Had an appointment with the dealer and on the way there, it drove fine. They reset the check engine light and said an OTA fix was sent out Saturday that fixed Friday's update. Running fine now.

Looks like a Vegas show with flashing lights, wipers, horn on mine. Nothing works. Did the sitting out for 10 min and I get nothing but lots of warnings and errors. 1C4RJXR63RW255532

So, I was out of town and the Jeep was parked in the garage, got home today and absolutely no power at all to any systems. I currently have the 12v system hooked up to a trickle charger. First Jeep I've ever owned,
Now no power at all...can't even open doors....no lights...dark. @JeepCares
and this is leaving a bad taste for sure.

Happened to me twice within a month.... time to get rid of this thing and get a more reliable vehicle for off roading. So glad I still have my back up Honda.

Got my JL back from dealer today 2 full days in the shop. Looks like it was still having issues after following star case posted yesterday by Kori. My interpretation of the service ticket is they found an update for the Power Inverter Module related to issues losing power when switching from hybrid to ice mode? They flashed the PIM and all seems good so far. Hope this helps if anyone else is still having issues after following star case instructions.
