I don’t have the specific name of the module or part number, but I will try and stop by the dealership sometime this week and see if I can chat with the technician again.

There is far more than a "handful." But thank you. Oddly, mine has been into the shop 5 times. A regional rep for Jeep has been out and I have a @JeepCares case open. But yet no one has ever said what you just said and in fact they keep saying the noise is normal.

Running the gas motor definitely fixes the problem in my vehicle. All I do is put it in sport mode for about 10 seconds then back to auto and drive off and there’s never any clunking or harsh ride. If I don’t do that, it will ride like there’s no suspension at all and clunk over every little tiny crack in the road.

I have a 23 Trailhawk 4XE with the same issue. The air suspension clunks in the front and rides really stiff. I did find a workaround. I called a Chrysler master tech as I used to run a Chrysler Jeep Dodge ram Fiat dealer for a couple years. He said they have seen a handful with air suspension having the same issue. They’ve determined it is a module that is not turning on properly allowing the semi active suspension to initiate. The workaround is to either put the vehicle in E save mode or sport mode for about 30 seconds of driving then you can put it back into auto and hybrid and the noise should go away along with the ride smoothing out and no clunking. They do not have the modules available to replace yet, so every time I get in my Jeep I put it in sport mode and drive it for the first 30 seconds then switch it to auto and the problem gets bypassed.

I have a GC 4XE 2023 with the same issue.. have you found a definitive solution to this problem? Is there any certainly that module would be the cause?.. thank in advance. In this case the module number would be welcome..this parts

Clunking noise coming from suspension. Almost sounds similar to a loose shock. You can hear it when you go over any little bump in the road. Does this have something to do with the vehicle being a hybrid? I had a 2020 Jeep Grand cherokee Overland regular gas powered and it rode way better without any noise coming from underneath. Dealer said there is nothing wrong. Anyone else have this issue?

I have the same problem in a 4xe Overland 2023 unit in Mexico City, one year trying with the dealer to change pieces and try to correct the problem without result.

They will not fix it. There is no definitive fix. @JeepCares will give you the runaround until you are out of warranty. They know there is a massive recall issue here, but refuse to fix it. Just get rid of the vehicle as fast as you can and never buy another Jeep product.

SOLUTION in my case I leased a 2023 Grand Cherokee Limited and noticed the same clunking noise coming from the front passenger side after only a week. I first took it back to the dealer at around 5,000 miles during an oil change and reported the issue. They mentioned they couldn’t identify the problem because their listening tool was broken and they had to order a new one. I couldn’t leave the car at that time, so I waited until almost a year later when I could spare it for a week. They ended up keeping it for two weeks, replaced both struts and control arms, but the noise persisted. I did some research on this forum and shared everything I found with my service advisor, Bryan, at Jeep Arrigo Margate, FL. I told him I was ready to give up and just needed the car back. But Brian asked me to let them keep it one more day. Three mechanics inspected the car, and while reassembling everything, they noticed the ball joint was VERY stiff. They ordered replacements, installed them—and the noise is completely gone! No, I have never had it solved. They replaced a bunch of parts and also said "there's no problem" and despite THREE dealers AND a Jeep regional service rep all saying that the noise was there IN WRITING, @JeepCares closed my case and said there is nothing they can do.

I have a 23 Overland... I don't have this problem.

It's so weird Jeep continues to have these kind of weird problems but have no solutions.

My suspicion is that it's just not manufactured or put together the right way all the time? Clearly when it works, it works well. So the vehicle is likely designed and engineered properly? But if on the assembly line, the worker were to miss something or not tighten something properly, then these kind of weird problems will come up? Since there are no broken parts to be replaced or fixed, it's just hard for the dealership techs to figure out what's the problem until something failed?

Sign, I really think these are great vehicles. I wish Jeep factories can just get their act together. At least build up a sufficient inventory of parts so we don't have to wait weeks for parts!
