I guess I should mention that it's made from corrugated plastic sheet from the arts & crafts store. I just got some 1/8" ABS sheet to make some more substantial inserts, but it might be too stiff to match the curve in the grille. We'll see this weekend.

Love that it's zip tied! So simple.

Heat gun, or hair drier, and it will easily both bend and retain it. Just go slow...

Here's my take... 5000 miles, ran on electric virtually every day, with limited ICE. Suddenly, a month ago, Electric mode is unavailable. Got an oil change 200 miles later, reset the oil life, turned off the climate control, and was able to get some Electric miles. This is the San Francisco Bay Area, lowest temp noted 39 F, averaging more like 50. Heated garage -- car sometimes starts in Electric (vs always before), many times in ICE mode. Pressed all the fuses and am watching it carefully... seems to be randomly choosing modes. Hope this helps our family of owners.

Here is my story to add: currently my Sahara is stuck in this mode. Have 700 miles. I’ve only ever filled using premium. Had a half a tank when this started. I filled up and still going. We are in between 25 and 50 degrees here in Jersey and mostly do short trips with the occasional longer trip. According to what I read from Jeep am I supposed to accept that I’ll be stuck with just the 4banger engine and crappy mileage for the rest of the winter because I drive less than 20 minutes at a clip???

You need to get the oil up to temperature and then drive for a while with it at temperature. Filling up with gas only helps if you're in form because of gas.

I can’t. I filled up a half tank . Temp is cold, I only drive short distances. What am I missing?
Let it idle for however long it takes. (Do this in hybrid mode with the climate system off)Go for a drive, come back and let the Jeep idle until you see oil temps @ 206-210. If the Jeep turns off on you,(it may time out after 20 min and not reaching the desired temps to satisfy FORM)start it up again. Go drive to engage the ICE again and let it go until the ICE turns off on it’s own, but the Jeep is still running on electric. You will know it is out of FORM because the ICE ran for approximately 20 min at temps of 206-210, and then turned off on it’s own. You will then be able to drive in electric mode again. Hence the reason it’s still running on electric. When you do this, make sure the HV battery is charged and when you first go for a drive or have to restart the Jeep , you make sure to engage the ICE(along with FORM). That way the engine is idling and heating up the oil.

He could do this or I think posting 12 more times on this thread will also get him out of FORM

I’ll give it a shot. Btw, I had zero issues until I was away for a week. The car sat a week, and then this, which is why I figured it was the gas, but I proved that wrong. Jeep needs to step up and push through a software update to prevent this asap.
