Any news about this? The norwegian jeep.no pages says that fully uConnect functions will be available in first half of 2021, but i guess they forgot to update the web pages. Does anyone here have new info about this?

It's starting to get cold. Really need the preheating function added.

On my previous electric car, a BMW i3, the remote Heating/Aircond was working fine from the dedicated App (iOs ans Android). So, I'm not sure there is a Regulation concern for this functionality.
Hope they will release the app ASAP !

From Customer Care Jeep on December 15 I received a very generic reply without any specific date:

"We also confirm that the Services are constantly evolving and enriching and that we are working to bring you more related services in the near future. Services such as MyNavigation will only be implemented at a later date."

So, to me My Uconnect App is almost useless at the moment.

I got an reply from Jeep care here in Europe a week ago and they say that the European version of the car with the 8.4 uConnect screen will not support the climate control form the app. Neither will it support scheduling climate control form the screen. When i bought the car the seller said to me that this will be supported.
It also says so in the price list from Jeep here in Norway that this is supported.

This is the reply i got form Jeep/FCA:

After further investigation of the problem concerning schedualing of heating events from the app or directly from the vehicle, I have to inform you that that exact feature will sadly not be available for your vehicle, as it is not supported by the head-unit /radio (VP4R 8,4" with NAV).

Remote features that will be available include: At-Home digital assistant; Drive Alerts; Vehicle Finder; Charging Station Locator; Remote Operations (lock-unlock doors), Vehicle Healt Alert and Theft Alarm Notification.

I intend to discuss this matter with a lawyer specialized in consumer protection and put into FCA Italy face.
Honestly this is not acceptable for such a price tag!

Can anyone in Europe remotely control anything (lights at least) with My Uconnect app? All I am getting are charging notifications.

I also don't have a remote function on my U-connect app ( Netherlands). so also don't start the engine remotely, but if I want to start the car manually to defrost windows and heat the car I have the problem that the engine doesn't run because of the start-stop system. Does anyone know how to make the engine idle?

Last time I've checked on my 4xe "nada". A friend of mine with a 4xe Renegade has exactly the same problem: Uconnect was and still does not work.

For those of you which have on your Wrangler JL/JLU a Telematic Box Module (TBM) below TSB will unlock all the functions in your Jeep App.
How to find if your Jeep has a TBM? Well very simple:
Insert your VIN here:
FCA RAM
Check in the listing for TBM or Telematic Box Module
Go to your Jeep dealer with the below TSB amd have them perform the update of your TBM and headunit.
It takes some time indeed and some functions need to be taken while performing the update one by one.
My heandunit design afyer this update has now the yellowish lines now.

All functioms as descirbed in page 2 of the TSB are now working including Valet settings 😎 etc etc:

If they would ever figure out how to get it working in the US, I would say you have a chance. For the moment you have something you know does not work, those of us in the US were sold something we expected to work but fails miserably....
