Ugh! Sorry to hear that! Is yours driveable?
it is, and that’s with their approval, but sometimes I swear the rear lockers engage intermittently, which isn’t good for the drivetrain. Not to mention, it’s annoying to have a constantly flashing light forever.

They ordered a new rear axle for mine. No eta. Hot tip: z auto oem bypass
I get my (2nd) new rear axle next week on my Gladiator. My only concern is what’ll happen after 36K miles (which I’m at 21K currently) when the warranty is up. Yes, I could get the Z bypass but if this is an ongoing and known issue, why should I be left out to dry once the warranty is up? You would think that they would have caught on by now and made the sensor that fails more resilient so this wouldn’t keep happening.

Totally agree and frankly I keep thinking im disappointed in something on this vehicle and then some other problem comes along that surpasses my level of disappointment. Mine is 10 weeks old, what else can’t I trust. I honestly am starting to think the only way to trust it is replace it part by part. Wish I would have known or someone would have told me

This started happening to me on my 2019 JLU Rubicon with 24,000 miles. I'm currently waiting on a new rear axle from the dealership. You can read this detailed thread on what OP did to prevent it from happening again. Your locker sensors seals can fail and once gear oil gets inside it'll short circuit the sensor.

Thanks for the info. My light coming on and off seemed to resolve on its own.

Do it. Pot the sensors. As some have noted, axles are just going to have to keep being replaced .... and then the warranty expires and YOU are buying axles. You can't buy the sensors as it is a proprietary part. I did mine last week. 12k miles and the rear sensor was half full of oil.

I've seen this before in the supply chain and it gets ugly. Dana is stuck using the sensor supplier since it's an FCA specified component for the axle. Everyone involved knows the sensors need work (better sealing, potting, etc...) but they're playing the blame game. Dana has no leverage against the "specified" sensor supplier and the design team at FCA isn't going to admit failure. Somebody in senior management is going to have to step up and resolve this because the end customers are feeling the pain.

Looking to see if anyone has had an issue with the rear locker light coming on and flashing alert. Does not seem to engage. This is while driving in 2H and 4H auto.
Yep. Same issue with mine 21’ with just over 20k miles lockers are flashing. Changed diff fluid front and back it went away for about 500 miles and has came back. At first it was intermittent now it’s on constantly. Z automotive makes a plug-n-play fix but there out of stock and on back order. If you go to the stealership they will want to replace the entire axle which of course is on back order too.

 Same rear locking diff lights blinking out of the blue (noticed especially when braking or turning sharp) on my '21 JKU 4xe (34k km).
I've discussed with the Jeep dealer and they confirmed they've replaced the entire rear axel for other JLs to.
All fuses checked/seated on mine though

Just got back from a 900 km road trip towing a travel trailer (3500 lbs). Just less than half way into the trip I see my rear locker light flashing on the dash and center console button. I'm at 17k kms. I have no idea why it randomly started, it did not affect my driving/safety/towing or anything. Just keeps flashing even if I try to turn it off. Even after unhitching the weight and driving, it still flashes non-stop. I'm calling the dealership tomorrow to see what they say. I hope it goes away but after reading your posts it may be the sensor issue... I really don't want to get another loaner and deal with the dealership nonsense. Let's see how it goes, I'll post here with any updates.

Just an update in my case:
After less than 30.000 km the new (replaced under warranty after 34.000 km) rear locker sensor died again: locker error light came on the dash again and stood on there for good even after engine restart. Since I haven't time to patch this sensor with silicone for electronic connections I have nstalled and used the Zautomotive jumper
everything works fine and the light from the dash and locker went of. Run it for more than 2000 km and no issues whatsoever. Installation took me on site 10 minutes or so.

Good to know that's working for some folks. Might want to replace the white tie strap with a black one which would be better suited for UV and ozone exposure.

Sounds like wiring or an unplugged connector to me. I'd take a quick look at the rear diff to see if the problem is obvious before taking it in for warranty work.
