What? Quit being a troll. Jeep is known for their reliability. And as far as safety goes...

According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), the 2021 Jeep Wrangler earned a 'Good' rating in its moderate overlap front and side crashworthiness tests. It also earned a 'Good' rating for its roof strength, head restraints, and seats.

The Jeep Wrangler is notoriously bad. And please… all this coming from a person with the username: NeverBuyJeepAgain
C’mon
You're telling me the Jeep is known to be terrible in regards to Safety and Reliability. I am showing you that the IIHS considers the 2021 Wrangler Good for safety, and you proved that it scored Great in reliability. And you are still arguing that I should know that Jeep is notoriously bad. I don't know what point you're trying to prove but you are beating yourself up with your own evidence.

Ok… Good luck to you.

I had one of the many highway shutdowns but I don't actually consider it to be a major issue with my 4xe given I understand why/how it happened.
You're saying your 2021 Jeep 4xe has shut down many times on the freeway and you don't consider it a major issue? Dude, that is a major issue. In 20 years I've never had a vehicle do that. Let alone a 2021 that is brand new shutting down multiple times. You're either lying about it, or you're insane. No sane person would think this is no big deal.

Sounds like there are many trolls on this board, but I'm not one of them. Hijacking a thread that is reporting serious issues and trying to shame people for reporting the issues is the real issue here. Claiming that a 2021 Jeep shutting down on the freeway multiple times is not an issue is the real crime on this board. It's either filled with paid Jeep actors or a bunch of ignorant fan boys. Either way its you who is trolling.

I own a 2021 Sahara 4xe and a 2017 JKU Rubicon. I have previously owned several others as well.

I had the highway-shutdown failure on Saturday. I was driving at highway speeds on an interstate and the vehicle flashed an electrical error and completely shut down. I was able to get the vehicle across the travel lanes before it completely stopped. It was incredibly dangerous, and frankly, ridiculous for a brand new vehicle to do that. I have escalated my complaint with the Jeep Wave department and have filed a complaint with the NHTSA. I recommend all others who have had this problem do so as well. It is a genuine safety issue that needs to be investigated.

I'm not sure how this bickering started between some of the members here, but that's also ridiculous.

Did the 4xe forum change your outcome in the slightest way?

Using the NHTSA is an absolutely great way to effect change!

Using the resources available to you is a great way to make sure others don't have similar outcomes.

You sir are definitely correct in your approach.

Ditto. Unsubscribing from this thread. The negative cancerous conversation doesn’t interest me.

I do not have an outcome of my efforts yet so I cannot tell you. But, this 4xe forum did allow me to learn that my situation was not an insolated incident. That information, by itself, is helpful. I included the fact that there are similarly situated owners out there in my communications with Jeep Wave and the NHTSA. Presumably, the fact that it is not insolated would encourage Jeep to take rapid action to protect owners and itself.

Agreed.

Exactly. That is why the positive and the critical posts belong on the forum. So folks can see the good and the bad -- cannot fully understand a vehicle if the only information available is good, or bad, things. I love my JKU (and loved my prior Jeeps before them), but it is unreasonable for folks to say that the critical posts do not belong here.

Can we start a Jeep Cares page and transfer all these disgruntled first time posters there? This board has gone to crap.
So you think a forum would be more useful if we all shared stories about how great the Jeep is and how much we love it?

I don’t know about you, but I’m learning a lot about people’s unfortunate experiences and educating myself on what to look out for.
