then Jeep should offer a straight up swap of your recalled model for a 24/25 subject to mileage, condition, etc. In the long run it could save them millions.
I’m not sure this is correct. I had my battery replaced in my 2021 4xe late November 2024 and it’s also part of the recall. If what you say is true then they installed a battery that was over a year old.

Subject to mileage! They can kiss my ass. How about all the inconvenience of multiple trips to the dealership, almost 4 months now in total, inability to charge due to fire risk, etc.

Have a strong feeling those are permanent - otherwise can you imagine that nightmare over any speed bump? 🤣
Fair enough.. but I'm like jeez what if they had to do some work in the dash?

Just drop off my High Altitude at the dealership just now and they said they need my Jeep two days with them to perform the Remedy and I said GO FOR IT.!
So will see in two days if need a new Battery ot Not

My battery went from 15kWh to 12kWh when charging from <1% - 100%, it's been like this for well over a year I think, I don't have a home charger, so I'm always partial charging, in the summer I finally did a <1% -100%.

Just spoke to my dealership and they are not trained to fix it and won’t be until mid 2025. So now I have to research and get my jeep to another location at my expense. Plus it is worth roughly half what it was when I bought it. Comedy of errors by jeep. I’d trade it tomorrow but doesn’t make financial sense. I’ll never buy another jeep product after TEN previous vehicles. The have a “buy back” team, but that was declined without explanation.

I don’t understand “at your expense”. I have to take mine to whatever dealership I choose, on my dime. What do you mean?
I'd imagine a rural customer would have to drive significantly further to get to the next dealership. If thats a 2-3 hour drive its not insignificant in terms of inconvenience, fuel expense, etc.

They have a fix, but my dealership isn’t trained to fix it, so I have to research and find a dealership in another area that can fix it. I will have to get it there wherever that is. That involves getting it there, missing work, etc

I found a dealership 75 miles away that can fix, but it is a 2 day repair. They won’t guarantee a loaner which means I have to also potentially inconvenience someone else to follow me on two days.

but it is a 2 day repair
95b is a couple hours, assuming you bring it in uncharged. It's all of .7 billable hours for the dealership. If theyre keeping it for a couple days, they're just getting it in the queue and letting it sit for a while.
