Now I'm hearing that your vehicle can't be in FORM when you take it to the dealership for the repair. Is that true?

I recently had an oil change on my 2-month-old 2024 vehicle because it went into FORM and showed 0 oil. It's ridiculous that I had to get an oil change so soon for a brand-new vehicle. Now, just a week later, my Jeep is back in FORM, and I have a recall appointment scheduled for next week.

It has to be in electric mode to perform the drive cycle test, so can't be in FORM since you wouldn't be able to go into electric.

would the software still work and detect a bad battery during normal operation at a later time.
Presumably, but it isn't clear what exactly is being looked at during the drive cycle test as far as test parameters go.

When I go into FORM I usually haven’t put fuel into it for over a month. Once iI fill up I’m usually good to go. Maybe I’m lucky but it’s been functioning as expected.

My 2023 Jeep Sahara 4xe has been relatively trouble free other than the 95B recall that I have ignored thinking the risk was tiny. I went in last Saturday and asked about the fix and they said they would look into it a call me Monday. They did call Monday and it it takes all day. Different from what I have read but I didn't comment on that to the scheduler. I'm scheduled for Friday at 7:30 AM so it looks like I will be a guinea pig. Wish me luck.

For those owning a 4XE, SELL IT! SELL IT FAST! SELL IT BEFORE IS TOO LATE!

ACCEPT YOUR LOSS, AND SELL IT!

WITHOUT MY CAR FOR 3M AND NO ESTIMATE WHEN I WILL HAVE IT BACK.

DEALERSHIP HAS NO IDEA WHEN CAR WILL BE BACK.

DEALERSHIP OFFERED TO BUY IT BACK FOR LESS THAN 50% OF CAR VALUE (IF I BUY ANOTHER JEEP, WHICH WILL NEVER HAPPEN) AND CAR IS 2YRS OLD AND HAS 20K MILES.

AGAIN, SELL BEFORE YOU FACE ANY PROBLEMS, BECAUSE ONCE IT STARTS, YOUR ARE LOST AND JEEP WILL DO NOTHING TO HELP AS THEY ARE DOING NOTHING IN MY CASE!
You need an attorney.

Something is causing FORM perhaps driving habit, are you using Hybrid or Electric mode?

Are your trips covered by the battery range, is the place very cold 0c/20F?

Car went in last Thursday, called me Tuesday to say that I'm getting a new hybrid battery pack. Hope it doesn't take too long. This was not unexpected as a few weeks ago I lost power going up a hill in electric, check engine light came on, code was P0BBD Hybrid Battery Pack Voltage Variation Exceeded Limit. I was nervous because the CEL kept clearing and then recurring, and it was cleared when I dropped off the car. However, I got a chance to speak to the tech and gave him the info. When he called today he said they ran the software updates no problem, but the CEL triggered again during the drive cycle, they called called the STAR, and STAR said I need a new battery pack.

So if they determine you need a new battery, do they try to keep the Jeep or can you drive it until they get you a battery? Our Jeep is our only vehicle right now and I don't want to have to fight the dealer/Jeep on a loaner or rental
